DBT is a therapy model that helps counselees learn to regulate emotions through the use of mindfulness skills that can be practiced in everyday life.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy is offered individually and in group format, and is broken into four sections: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Skills. The goal is to provide participants with skills needed in order to live a fulfilling life.
Outpatient groups address various treatment areas for children 5-17 years old. Incentives are offered for attendance and participation and dinner or snacks are provided in many groups. Groups include Anger Management, AOD (alcohol or drugs), AOD Residential Aftercare, Caregiver / Parent Support, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) for Youth & Caregivers, Girls Empowerment Group for Survivors of Trauma for Youth & Caregivers, Lasting Solutions for Everyday Problems (Family Conflict & Problem Solving), LGBTQ, Managing Feelings & Making Friends and Teen Social Skills.
