Actively seeking individuals with the requisite skills and experience who are willing, on a voluntary basis without remuneration, to provide:
Non-Patient Contact Volunteer Services:
- Outreach: Assist staff with special events and fundraising efforts.
- Clerical Support: Address envelopes, answer phones and process mailings.
- Speaker's Bureau: Speak to corporate and community groups about Hospice services.
- Crafts: Make crafts for patient trays and rooms.
- Gardening: Weeding, mulching and planting gardens on Hospice Care Center grounds.
- Dietary: Dietary aide in kitchen and soup maker/provider.
Patient Contact Volunteer Services:
- Patient Interaction: Friendly visits, caregiver relief, companionship, reading and so forth.
- Spiritual/Bereavement: Help patients and families deal with grief and bereavement issues.
- Clerical Support: Help patients fill out forms, provide telephone support for patients and families at Hospice Care Center.
- Dietary: Dietary aide on patient units.
