The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a national network of volunteers, organized locally to improve the health and safety of their communities. MRC volunteers include medical and public health professionals, as well as other community members without healthcare backgrounds. MRC units engage these volunteers to strengthen public health, improve emergency response capabilities and build community resiliency. They prepare for and respond to natural disasters, such as wildfires, hurricanes, tornados, blizzards, and floods, as well as other emergencies affecting public health, such as disease outbreaks.

Actively seeking volunteer for a variety of opportunities including mail and flower delivery, patient wheelchair transportation, information desks, outpatient lab, emergency department, patient representatives, spiritual care, clerical support, the Petite Bazaar gift shop, and so forth. Offers some volunteer-at-home sewing opportunities.
Give an Hour is a national nonprofit that provides barrier-free mental health counseling. We are able to do this incredible work because of our network of mental health professionals across the nation who volunteer one hour per week for one year to those who qualify for our services. Our current populations include service members, veterans, and their loved ones, and those affected by natural and man-made disasters. In order to participate in the Give an Hour network, providers must register with our non-profit.
