St. Vincent Haven is a 50-bed emergency and transitional shelter program for males 18 and older who are homeless from all over Licking County. Dinner is prepared by volunteer cooking teams in their homes and brought into the shelter each evening. Teams are generally three to four persons and they usually cook just once a month. Teams can use food received from the Food Pantry Network in the meals. There currently are a couple of open evenings. Our 4pm-12am shift is staffed by an employee and a Staff Assistant volunteer. Volunteer shifts are 4pm-8pm and 8pm-12am. Staff Assistant volunteers usually cover one 4-hour shift per month.
