Youth mentoring services volunteer opportunities are available.
Recruits and trains adult volunteers to serve as role models, friends, and mentors for youth who may benefit from a supportive relationship. The volunteers (mentors) have contact with the youth (mentees) twice a month for a period of at least one year. The volunteer and child participate in social and recreational activities such as watching movies, talking on the phone, bicycling, or just running errands. Professional caseworkers are available to provide advice and support. Also seeks adults to mentor teenagers who are residing in the foster care youth center.
Actively seeking volunteers to work with children in the areas of academics, arts, sports and health, games, homework assistance, computer skills, career exploration, meals, and special events.

M.A.V. Youth Mentoring fosters supportive relationships between adult role models and youth. Adults and youth will meet two to three times per month to do activities such as shooting hoops, playing a board game, sharing a pizza, taking a walk in the park, etc. The schedule can be flexible to meet the needs of the mentors and their youths.
Provides a peer support program to match adults coping with severe mental illness with a community volunteer for friendship and social skill building. Provided through a partnership with Compeer International. Opportunties in the program may include: - One-to-One Friendship Program: Offers face-to-face contact with adult volunteer. - Compeer Calling: Provides telephone support (may be offered in addition to face-to-face support). - Compeer Community: Offers group events and celebrations among Compeers to strengthen social skills. - Peer-to-Peer: Matches clients with one another in supportive, one-on-one friendships. - Skillbuilders Program: Promotes social ties through structured life skills training.

Volunteer mentors for the Lunch Buddy Program are welcome. The Lunch Buddy Program is an adult and child mentoring, academic support program starting in the fourth grade. Mentors meet with their student once a month for lunch.
Provides volunteer opportunities to work with immigrants in a variety of roles. Volunteer opportunities may include being a part of a Welcome Team, driving instructor and teaching car care, English language instruction, interpretation services, cultural orientation, public transportation navigator, and so forth.

All the volunteer needs to do is spend one lunch period per week with their Little. Our staff will provide activities for the Bigs and Littles to do.
