Seeking persons to volunteer as tax counselors for Muskingum, Perry, and Morgan county clinics. Counselors are also asked to volunteer for one clinic per week, or three hours per week from the end of January to the end of March. Training: Provided free of charge by our trained Clinic Coordinator and is completed in one of our clinic sites. Training's will be held Mid- January and an at home study and practice is available once the training is completed. Liability: Volunteers are not held liable for someone else’s tax return. It is the client’s responsibility to make sure the information provided is accurate and complete. Clients are required to sign a release form at the beginning of the session. Trains and assigns court-appointed Guardians Ad Litem (GAL) for children whose parents are being prosecuted for abuse, neglect, or dependency. The GAL represents the child's best interest by performing an investigation and interviews of the child's family members, teachers, doctors, etc., then preparing a report for the Juvenile Court. The GAL will routinely visit the child's home once a month to monitor and assess the living situation.

Actively seeking volunteers to be trained by the Sheriffs’ Departments to assist them in finding missing and/or abducted children, including Amber Alert situations.
