United Way also maintain The Volunteer Reception Center (VRC) provides a place where large numbers of volunteers can be efficiently processed and referred to agencies needing their services. The screening process is implemented by representatives of the Clark County United Way, the Clark County Citizen's Corps and the Clark County Volunteer Manager's Association. The processed used to screen these volunteers provides an easy way to document who is being registered and expenses incurred. Those expenses can later be used for Local matches for recovery funds, if available.

The Medical Reserve Corps (MRC) is a national network of volunteers, organized locally to improve the health and safety of their communities. In Licking County, more than 150 volunteers from communities in the county who work in and around the health care field are members of the MRC, and are willing and able to assist local first responders and healthcare professionals should a natural or manmade emergency occur.
The Licking County MRC is led by a coordinator at the Health Department and a Planning Committee. The Planning Committee is a group of MRC members who are responsible for steering the actions and policies of the group.
