Leapin' Outreach Center is looking for help to complete the building of our homeless shelter on the second floor of our building at 150 Court St. We have set up open workdays on the third Saturday of every month from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.. Volunteers not required to stay all eight hours.
CURRENT PROJECT LIST:
- Patch and/or repair to existing walls & ceiling, taping and mudding drywall
- Frame elevated bathroom floor and building ramps
- Hang 5/8 inch drywall on new steel framed walls and in future office area
- Drywall finishing and painting to be done as we go forward
No experience necessary, but helpful. There are also opportunities to help out sorting donations and working in the clothing area if you're not a construction person.
