Volunteers serve in various capacities such as at soup kitchens, food pantries, holiday parties and meals and collecting needed items such as food and personal supplies. Most assignments are longer term, but short-term assignments available four times a year. Some opportunities are targeted to the Jewish community, such as collecting Kosher food and planting flowers and cleanup at a Jewish cemetery.

Senior Companion Program
Provides a local office for a national program for older adults that matches volunteers with organizations where their time, interest, talents, knowledge, and experience are most effectively utilized to meet important needs in communities. Volunteers choose how, where, and when they want to serve, with commitments ranging from one-time events, up to a few hours a week/month, or as often as they wish throughout the year.
Provides information to businesses about volunteerism and volunteer opportunities and arranges placement for employees (as groups or as individuals) in volunteer service projects. Consults with businesses in developing community involvement strategies that benefit businesses, employees and the community. Also offers board referral and training services (see "Board Training and Referral" service group), as well as volunteer consultants, who are able to provide up to 20 hours of volunteer service in areas such as human resources, marketing, technology and finance.
