Provides health care services, specialists, physicians, preventative medicine, programs and education to the surrounding community. Wood County provides care to those who have acute, life-threatening injuries or severe illnesses and also provide drug and alcohol abuse withdrawal treatment.

Serves as a connecting point for volunteer opportunities with United Way collaborative partners.

Recruits and coordinates the placement of volunteers who are 55 or older into various organizations around Ohio. Includes health care facilities, schools, community and youth centers, non-profit agencies, and government agencies.

Recruits volunteers of all ages for special projects, ongoing responsibilities at our centers and with our clients. RSVP recruits those who are retired or senior citizens for volunteer opportunities and places them in non-profit organizations and community projects around Clark County. Individuals are placed in areas that are of interest to them and enhance their special skills.

Provides opportunities for older adults to volunteer with local nonprofit organizations, public agencies, and faith-based organizations. Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) volunteers receive no stipend for their work but may be reimbursed for meals and transportation. RSVP is part of AmeriCorps Seniors.

Provides a local office for a national program for older adults that matches volunteers with organizations where their time, interest, talents, knowledge, and experience are most effectively utilized to meet important needs in communities. Volunteers choose how, where, and when they want to serve, with commitments ranging from one-time events, up to a few hours a week/month, or as often as they wish throughout the year.

Provides volunteer opportunity information and coordinates with other agencies and programs in need of volunteers.

Seeks volunteers to assist with a variety of activities from working on a build site on a committe or helping out in the office. Also has volunteer opportunities at ReStore.

Provides older adults an opportunity to give of their time, talents, and life experiences to help those in need through volunteering. Ongoing opportunities meet critical community needs such as homelessness; workforce development; food security; health care access and others. Both long and short-term volunteer assignments available including one-day service projects.

Provides information to businesses about volunteerism and volunteer opportunities and arranges placement for employees (as groups or as individuals) in volunteer service projects. Consults with businesses in developing community involvement strategies that benefit businesses, employees and the community. Also offers board referral and training services (see "Board Training and Referral" service group), as well as volunteer consultants, who are able to provide up to 20 hours of volunteer service in areas such as human resources, marketing, technology and finance.

Provides volunteers for short-term community service projects such as one-day festivals, fairs, races and holiday-related ventures. Volunteers perform duties such as produce and gift distribution, registration and information booths, ushers, ticket takers and refreshments servers.

Provides a wide range of programs for senior citizens, including information & referral, nutrition education, creative instruction, health screenings, and recreation and socialization.

Maintains a database that list volunteer opportunities and makes referrals to those agencies needing volunteers. Volunteers serve in various capacities such as at soup kitchens, food pantries, holiday parties and meals and collecting needed items such as food and personal supplies. Most assignments are longer term, but short-term assignments available four times a year. Some opportunities are targeted to the Jewish community, such as collecting Kosher food and planting flowers and cleanup at a Jewish cemetery.

Volunteers link with local neighbors in need, and can select volunteer tasks or projects that fit their skill set, from the online project board. Also convenes Ohio volunteer administration professionals in high-quality professional development at our annual Ohio Conference on Service and Volunteerism and through targeted dialogue on improving volunteer infrastructure.

Seeks volunteers to help in the agency's Administration of Committees, New home construction and repairs. Seeks volunteers to help in the ReStore, a thrift shop that sells donated and recycled materials and supplies.
