Library has more than 1500 developmental toys, switches, developmental software programs, and low-technology augmentative communication devices that are available for families to borrow for use at home for 30-day periods. Consultation to families is available to help them identify appropriate toys, switches, low-tech communication devices, software and computer access products to match the needs of their child.
A computer lab is on-site for families and professionals to preview software, try out hardware to match the accessibility needs of a child. The staff is knowledgeable with many software and computer access products and will assist invidious in learning how to use these products. The staff at the library provides presentations regarding assuasive technology; computer access to parent groups, and professionals along with graduate and undergraduate students.
