Offering a free craft program designed for resident children. The parks and playgrounds are staffed with an attendant who will help create crafts with children on a first come, first served basis during the specified times. "Treat Yo-Self Tuesdays" will include free activities for crafters such as face painting, hair wraps, temporary tattoos, mini-manicures and so forth.
Provides a care package to any guest needing it on a monthly basis. Care packages generally contain items such as deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrush, soap, shampoo, and other personal care/personal hygiene items.

Offers free bicycle helmets to community members in need.
Lends adult bikes, children and adult helmets, and bike locks on a temporary basis. - Service is provided through a collaboration of the Lorain Public Library, Lorain County Public Health, Lorain County Metro Parks, and the Lorain County Community Action Agency.
Provides bicycle helmets and instruction for safe use to children.
Provides bicycle helmets for purchase. Will properly fit helmet to insure the correct size is chosen.
Provides items for families with very young children. Specific items are offered depending on the child's age and include: - Crib/mattress, child safety kit, and toddler bed and mattress. - Newborn clothing. - Stroller. - High chair, bibs, plates, utensils, and Sippy cups. - Potty chair, two (2) cases of pull-ups, baby wipes. - Diapers and formula. - Age appropriate enrichment toys.
Offers ice skating lessons, open skating sessions, and skate rental from August to early April. Arena may be rented by groups.

Provides an event for families to fish together and learn fishing techniques, including how to clean and prepare caught fish to eat. Lagoon is stocked with catfish, bluegill, and trout. Fishing rods provided for youth. Bait and tackle will be provided.
Offers a variety of athletic and recreational activities/programs including: karate, scuba diving classes, pre- and postnatal fitness classes, swim classes for children ages 6 months and up, and a variety of other programs and activities.
