People First Of Toledo | Courageous Community Services

Local chapter members learn leadership skills and electoral practices by electing officers of the group. Monthly meetings are focused on topics related to disability advocacy and building self-advocacy skills. There are also monthly volunteering opportunities and regular social events to offer further connection to the community.

Career Development | Inroads - Great Lakes Region

Provides college students with programs designed to equip them with skills, practical work experience and insights necessary to become successful in business, technical and/or allied health careers. Services include mentoring and leadership development activities. The goal is placement in a job following graduation, preferably with the sponsoring business. Also provides a support group for the parents of participants, who meet to assist the development of their children, to further their own professional development, and to plan fundraising activities. There is also an active alumni group.

Community Leadership Academy | Leadership Clark County

This Association designs programs to broaden the base for leadership and community service in Springfield and Clark County. The central theme of the Academy is Servant-Leadership, a way of leadership developed by Robert Greenleaf. Currently, a Leadership Academy is offered once a year in the Fall. Call for specific dates as they vary year to year. They also offer a quarterly Leadership Luncheon Series.
