Participants gain personal access to community leaders, behind the scenes site tours, and in-depth discussions while gaining a deeper understanding of Geauga County. Class members expand their personal contacts and leverage these into a network of like-minded leaders. The Heritage Program inspires retirees and adults approaching retirement to reconnect to their community, encouraging their personal action to be part of the positive solution to some of Geauga County’s challenges. Each person’s overall experience is enhanced by the identification and achievement of personal goals in conjunction with individual efforts supporting the greater good of the county.

Provides college students with programs designed to equip them with skills, practical work experience and insights necessary to become successful in business, technical and/or allied health careers. Services include mentoring and leadership development activities. The goal is placement in a job following graduation, preferably with the sponsoring business. Also provides a support group for the parents of participants, who meet to assist the development of their children, to further their own professional development, and to plan fundraising activities. There is also an active alumni group.

This Association designs programs to broaden the base for leadership and community service in Springfield and Clark County. The central theme of the Academy is Servant-Leadership, a way of leadership developed by Robert Greenleaf. Currently, a Leadership Academy is offered once a year in the Fall. Call for specific dates as they vary year to year. They also offer a quarterly Leadership Luncheon Series.
Inspires, strengthens, and empowers leaders through a variety of programs that build leadership skills, community awareness, and connectivity.
Provides a community leadership development program that annually brings community leaders together to share and learn about diverse areas of interest about the community as well as share their own unique experiences and backgrounds.

Offers classes to potential minority leaders to develop a more diverse talent for service on nonprofit Board of Directors through a program of leadership development, education, and service. Works to place graduates of the program on a committee or board of at least one (1) Akron area nonprofit organization within one (1) year.
Offers a civic leadership initiative designed to educate Akron’s youth about their government, community organizations and service-led projects. Participants will learn about Akron’s history and social issues, tour City facilities and get a behind-the scenes look at how city government works. Prepares area high school students to become positive role models, and allows them to build character and develop leadership skills through training and youth council meetings.

Provides recreational, physical fitness, arts, and structured educational programming for residents, using neighborhood school facilities. Programs may include use of gymnasium, swimming pool, track, instruction in sports, arts and crafts, games, and drill teams. Computer classes are available at one site, and computers are available to use at two sites. Participants typically help to determine programming for each site. Programs are often staffed by school personnel.
