Provides a program to help young parents deal with their dual role as adolescent and parent. Parenting classes, life skills education, and case management (to link the client to appropriate community services) are provided.

Services include prenatal and child birth education, medical referrals, talking with doctors and nurses, parenting resources, food assistance, baby items, as well as a healthy meal and the opportunity to socialize with other pregnant moms. Offers several different classes for expecting parents or for those taking care of a baby. Also offers classes for new dads, new grandparents, new parents Lamaze (prepared childbirth), and siblings, as well as other classes that focus on topics such as early pregnancy, breastfeeding, childbirth for teens, and a childbirth refresher.

Offers free pregnancy testing and ultrasounds. Earn While You Learn class "Understanding Pregnancy." Free new baby merchandise, for example onesies, bottles, sleepers, handmade blankets, diapers & wipes. Complete all 5 sessions receive a car seat or stroller.

Community baby showers open to new parents and their children. Parents may receive diapers, toys and other parenting supplies at no cost while learning about safe sleep, wellness check ups and other programs to keep children and mothers healthy, supported and informed. Items may vary by donations received.

Coordinates with other agencies in the community to ensure at-risk-families are receiving as many forms of assistance as possible, such as social, medical and educational services. Community Care Coordinators meet clients in their own homes to assess the family's needs and to establish a care management plan. Targets pregnant women to support throughout their pregnancy to help reduce and eliminate Ohio's Infant Mortality Rate. Offers diapers and wipes to families at all visits by the coordinators.

Provides home based early literacy services, assessments, support, resources to pregnant moms, caregivers, parents of children up to the age of 5, with a concentration on ages 0-2. Also provides monthly wellness sessions as well as monthly parenting and information support groups.

Provides education and social support to pregnant women who are at high risk for infant mortality during the prenatal period. Advocates for better birth outcomes and address systemic and community structures that contribute to poor birth outcomes through culture, education, support, and engagement.

Offers confidential emotional support for women who are distressed by an unplanned pregnancy. Provides referrals for medical, legal, educational, and housing needs. Provides information on prenatal development, job search/career development, adoption, childbirth, child care options, and child safety issues.

Offers various parenting classes for expectant and first-time mothers and fathers. Topics include pregnancy/birth, breastfeeding, parenting, coparenting, life skills, healthy relationships, special circumstances, Bible studies, fatherhood lessons and other pertinent topics for moms and dads. Many classes are available in Spanish. Participating mothers earn "Baby Bucks" and participating fathers earn "Dad's Dollars" by attending or participating in classes. The "Baby Bucks" and "Dad's Dollars" vouchers can be used towards the purchase of diapers, formula, and other baby items.

Provides education and information on childbirth, infant care, safety awareness, breastfeeding, infant, massage, CPR for infants and children and other classes designed to meet the needs of new parents, families, infants, and children.

Provides face-to-face visits and phone support for pregnant women in the area, education on infants and parenting, and accompanying/transporting to doctor appointments or community agencies.

Provides central intake to women who are pregnant or postpartum to assist in locating resources and coordinate assistance by way of Neighborhood Navigators in the client's preferred setting (home, agency and/or community setting). Performs a detailed screening to identify barriers, needs, and opportunities for women and their families and then a step-by-step approach to action is taken to each item of need. Applies for and/or enrolls individuals in various community programs that the individual qualifies for, such as WIC and Medicaid.

Offers a Home Visiting program that supports parents as their child's earliest and best teacher and helps children grow, learn, and reach their full potential. Once the child has been referred, the parent will be assigned a Parent Educator. The Parent Educator is a trained professional in child development who will schedule visits that are at a convenient time and place for the family. At those visits, the Parent Educator will bring age-appropriate activities and materials for the parent and child, bring information in response to any questions or needs, provide guidance for challenges such as crying, hitting, sleeping routines, and potty training, conduct developmental screenings and assessments, share what can expected during each stage of development, encourage and support you the parent to become the child's most important teacher, and connect the parent to needed resources and services in the community. Parents as Teachers also offers opportunities to connect with other families. Clients can participate in special groups such as Families in the Kitchen, All About Reading, Let's Paint, and Preschool Prep, as well as, a group through social media called Parents Connect.

*NOTE* Faith-based component. 6 week course in a group setting. Covers such topics as infant care and development, virtue, time management, stress management, discipline, importance of reading to your child, how to tell your child about God, car seat safety, and Infant CPR. Upon completion of the class, each family can receive a new crib with a mattress or an infant car seat.

Provides individualized video appointments that educate expectant parents about aspects of pregnancy, labor and delivery, newborn/infant care, infant/child development parenting, and other topics including life-skills.

Provides childbirth and infant care education for fathers-to-be. Includes practical information about caregiving, relationships and parenting. Fathers in the program can get free admission for themselves and their families to the Cleveland Children's Museum.

Provides free bi-weekly in home visits by a registered nurse to women experiencing a first pregnancy and until their child is two years old. Mentorship is offered to help the client determine what goals they may have to to help them develop a plan to achieve them. Clients will also be offered information on infant safe sleep, nutrition, and parenting skills. Linkage to appriate community services will be provided.

This three hour crash-course focuses on preparing first-time dads for the way a newborn will change your life. The program covers some of the details of the delivery room, and how to be helpful to new moms once you get home. Receive advice and stories from a new dad who was in your shoes just a few months before. Boot Camp for New Dads is where expectant fathers or "rookie dads" learn from veteran fathers (those who recently birthed their first baby) about the ups and downs of fatherhood. The soon-to-be fathers will learn how to properly hold, feed and change their baby's diaper in a class that involves a real baby. This three (3) hour training offers tips on everything from helping breastfeeding moms with late night feedings, to being more patient. It's all advice on raising a happy, healthy baby that veteran dads are happy to share. It makes a difference when you hear it from someone who's just gone through it. In addition to the hands on program, each newdad will receive a copy of the the book, "Crash Course for Dads-to-Be" This guidebook will be a best friend to each new dad as they journey through fatherhood.

Women’s Center–Kettering provides client services for someone facing an unplanned pregnancy. Services are free and confidential and are tailored to help the client think through all options, including abortion, adoption, and parenting. Women's Center offers abortion alternatives including pregnancy tests and ultrasound to determine the fetus age and viability, and more. Offers free pregnancy test and assistance,free ultrasounds, post-abortion support group, and men's services and mentoring services. Also offers free material assistance, such as infant formula, diapers, infant needs etc. Quantities and ability to earn material assistance are determined by agency. Offices are located on the second floor of the Mama DiSalvo building, behind the restaurant. There is private, confidential parking in the rear parking lot.
