Provides assistance with services designed to help individuals age in place with dignity, mostly helping complete projects around the home and property. Service may include minor painting, repairs, garage cleanouts, window washing and more. Service is provided by volunteers.

Provides seasonal yard maintenance (including snow shoveling), heavy household cleaning and minor home repair.

Provides house painting; constructs exterior ramps to the home. Provides tree trimming and maintenance of large trees that may present a hazard on the homeowner's property.

Provides a small chore service. Will provide minor repairs (painting, replacing door knobs, railings, fixing minor plumbing issues). Also helps with yard chores (grass cutting, yard raking), general household maintenance (changing furnace filters and light bulbs, cleaning spouts, caulking windows) and heavy cleaning chores (carpet shampooing, washing windows, curtains, garages, walls). In addition, helps with essential errand running: grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, buying stamps, mailing packages.

Volunteers help with general yard work, such as yard clean up, mowing, weeding, pruning, and so forth. Assists with small home projects, such as moving furniture.

Provides snow removal, and possibly leaf raking services for seniors and those with disabilities.

Provides snow plowing and grass cutting for eligible seniors. Snow is plowed only on solid driveways, when snowfall exceeds 2 inches. Grass is cut for 10 weeks during the summer using the client's working lawnmower.

Call the Aspire Ministries Connection Center to talk with a volunteer or schedule an appointment to come in to work with someone who can help determine which agencies may be of help. 1. Receive request for help. Requests are received either directly from a person in need or the person in need is referred to the Aspire Ministries office by a network church or local agency. 2. Assess the need. Specially trained Aspire Ministries volunteers or staff screen the request for extent of need and legitimacy, and discover any deeper issues fueling the crisis. 3. Provide help. The request is referred to the most appropriate Aspire Ministries partner church, agency, or organization. Volunteers swing into action, providing whatever resources or outreach programs are appropriate to address the need(s). 4. Follow up. Volunteers follow up to ensure the need was met and to offer prayer and spiritual support from churches. Aspire Ministries offers assistance to anyone in Marion County who is in need. Assistance may be available for the following needs: - Emergency Food - Gas Vouchers - Cleaning Supplies - Diapers, Wipes, Lotion - Furniture - Funeral Services - Minor Home Repairs (limited) - Yard Work and Snow Removal (limited).

Services vary, but generally helps with yard work, snow shoveling, and small repairs such as: porch painting, fixing or replacing door locks and handles; replacing broken screen doors or window panes; installing smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and changing batteries; making minor repairs on stair treads; replacing carpet threshold strips; and replacing furnace filters.
