Provides support to those navigating the refugee/immigration process such as helping clients with filling out and submitting documents related to their refugee status and/or immigration case (such as applying for green cards, various immigration papers, and/or travel documents). Gives advice on test preparation, what to expect during the process, and what questions to expect during interviews with government officials. Provides basic information on how to prepare for obtaining employment (filling out applications, what to wear, how to handle job interviews). Provides translation assiatnce (English to Somali). Does not give legal advice (but will refer the client to the appropriate agencies if they need it).

Offers outreach services and information and referral for seniors. Will provide assistance with filling out and understanding various forms. Legal assistance is offered.

Provides assistance in locating and accessing various social services and may provide outreach in the home in some circumstances. Offers assistance with filling out applications and forms and provides daily telephone reassurance for seniors and the homebound.

Also provides basic information about income taxes, as well as State, Federal, and local Income Tax forms. Provides information and referral about needed social services and will provide outreach services in the home for seniors and those who are shut-ins. Offers assistance with completing various forms including help with simple wills, living wills, Power of Attorney for Health Care, etc.

Provides a variety of supportive social services/ health screenings for Senior adults.

Provides outreach services in the home for seniors. Screenings such as blood pressure, cholesterol, hearing and vision, and appointments with a podiatrist are periodically available. Helps seniors complete various forms such as Medicaid forms. Offers a bereavement support group and a Parkinson's disease support group.

Provides OSHIIP certified counseling to help with Medicare issues and drug plan open enrollment. Helps seniors access services, benefits, and other programs. Provides assessment of needs and makes referrals to appropriate agencies. Advocates to resolve problems seniors may encounter with governmental and social service agencies

Provides seniors with information and assistance in filling out forms which may be difficult to understand and complete correctly. Also assists Medicare recipients to understand and register for Part D (prescription plans).

Provides assistance with residential and assisted living referrals, as well as troubleshooting and forms assistance regarding Medicare and Medicaid.

Assists with completion of program application paperwork including prescription drug, AARP, energy assistance, Golden Buckeye Card, and insurance through Medicare counseling.

COVID-19 Temporary Message: Country Neighbor will temporarily suspend the congregate meal service in our dining rooms and programming activities in both Andover and Orwell effective Monday, March 16, 2020 through Friday, April 3, 2020 due to the recent COVID-19 pandemic. The offices will remain open for other services. Country Neighbor meal site attendees are being notified of the suspension and will be offered the opportunity of receiving home delivered meals during this period.
