Assists low to moderate income homeowners with repairs to help eliminate immediate threats to their health and safety. This includes conditions, that if left uncorrected, would result in irreparable damage to their home. Modest handicap accessibility alterations can also be made to the home.
A one-time service that can repair or replace heating unit or hot water tank, make additional repairs necessary to correct code violations, make handicapped accessibility modifications, repair plumbing or sewer problems, if possible, and/or make limited electrical repairs.

Assists low to moderate income homeowners with paying for repairs and rehabilitation on their homes. Depending on eligibility and the availability of funding, agency may be able to offer this program at no cost to the homeowner (usually if they are age 65 or older or a veteran). In some instances, a zero-interest loan with an affordable repayment schedule may be offered as well. Examples of the types of work that the program can help with are: painting, siding, roofing, doors, steps, wheelchair ramps, sub floors, carpeting, etc. Does not help with foundation. Most work is provided by volunteers, however some work may be provided by contractors. This is not an emergency service; the process can take 12-24 months (however, smaller jobs may be completed sooner).

Supervised Living for Older Youth
Provides a grant between $ 2,500-$5,500 to City of Lakewood homeowners and residents for exterior paint, supplies and labor to paint their home. Participants will be educated on lead safety issues. Property will be inspected by the agency (not a Building Dept. inspection) prior to approval, after prep work for the painting is done, and after work is completed. Amount of grant will be limited to amount of painting required as well as income guidelines.

Veterans receive a bonus incentive for participation in the program. Emergency Repair Loan Program: This is an emergency rehab loan for elderly and low income homeowners to correct a serious health/safety or energy conservation condition. Examples of emergency repairs include: furnace, gas lines, insulation, roofs, electrical, plumbing, handicapped accessible improvements, etc. Windows & Siding: This is a zero interest loan program for homeowners who wish to install vinyl replacement windows and/or vinyl siding. This is a deferred loan.

Aspire Ministries maintains a current list of available church ministries, community resources and agencies that may be able to help anyone in their current situation. Call the Aspire Ministries Connection Center to talk with a volunteer or schedule an appointment to come in to work with someone who can help determine which agencies may be of help. 1. Receive request for help. Requests are received either directly from a person in need or the person in need is referred to the Aspire Ministries office by a network church or local agency. 2. Assess the need. Specially trained Aspire Ministries volunteers or staff screen the request for extent of need and legitimacy, and discover any deeper issues fueling the crisis. 3. Provide help. The request is referred to the most appropriate Aspire Ministries partner church, agency, or organization. Volunteers swing into action, providing whatever resources or outreach programs are appropriate to address the need(s). 4. Follow up. Volunteers follow up to ensure the need was met and to offer prayer and spiritual support from churches. Aspire Ministries offers assistance to anyone in Marion County who is in need. Assistance may be available for the following needs: - Emergency Food - Gas Vouchers - Cleaning Supplies - Diapers, Wipes, Lotion - Furniture - Funeral Services - Minor Home Repairs (limited) - Yard Work and Snow Removal (limited).
