Offers free driveway snow removal for eligible older adults and individuals with physical disabilities. Contractors will plow when snow reaches four (4) inches or more.

Offers home repairs and rehabilitations to income-eligible Lorain County homeowners. Repairs may include roofs, water heaters, furnaces, A/C, electric panel, electrical, ADA modifications, plumbing, and more. The Home Repair Program provides no-cost upgrades and fixes for qualified homeowners. This grant-funded program requires no repayment by the homeowner. The Home Rehabilitation Program offers more extensive repairs and upgrades for homes. Assistance will be in the form of a declining-forgivable loan. There is no monthly payment, and no interest will be charged. No credit check is needed. 100% of the amount borrowed will be forgiven over (5) years provided owner continues to own and occupy the home. NOTE: Funding varies from year to year and might not always be available.

Provides: home health care (home health aides and home nurses) by medical staff; homemaker services; and durable medical equipment sales and rentals.

Provides and administers the Community Development Block Grants. Works with the intent of assisting persons of low and moderate income, (regardless of their financial means) to live in a decent, safe, and sanitary environment by eliminating urban blight and detrimental living conditions. Common examples of housing services we have assisted with in the past: roofing and gutters, porches and stairs, water heaters, furnaces, exterior doors, and electric upgrades. The financial limit for an emergency rehab project is $22,500.

Provides street maintenance, street lighting and street sign maintenance, graffiti removal (public spaces only), traffic signal maintenance, and weed and brush control for Oakwood Village. Snow plowing is available for senior and disabled residents.

Provides group residences for adults with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities. Offers 24-hour supervision and supportive services, including medical, nursing, psychiatric and psychological services, as well as a full range of therapies, dietary services and vocational counseling.
