Voluntary service open to all citizens with special needs who reside in Mahoning County. The registry was created to help police officers and other emergency service personnel assist residents with special needs in the event of an emergency by providing those first responders with information regarding a registrant’s special needs, emergency contact information, physical description and current photography.

AEP's Outage Alert Program offers customers the ability to sign up for text and/or email notifications. Customers who enroll will be notified when an outage has been reported in their area and will continue to receive updates with the cause of the outage and estimated time of restoration, and when the power has been restored.
