JFS can provide information about the different types of adoption or foster care that are available as options and the requirements and procedures for adopting or fostering another individual. JFS also links individuals who are in need of alternative living arrangements with appropriate private family homes that are licensed to provide foster care.

Women’s Center–Kettering provides client services for someone facing an unplanned pregnancy. Services are free and confidential and are tailored to help the client think through all options, including abortion, adoption, and parenting. Women's Center offers abortion alternatives including pregnancy tests and ultrasound to determine the fetus age and viability, and more. Offers free pregnancy test and assistance,free ultrasounds, post-abortion support group, and men's services and mentoring services. Also offers free material assistance, such as infant formula, diapers, infant needs etc. Quantities and ability to earn material assistance are determined by agency. Offices are located on the second floor of the Mama DiSalvo building, behind the restaurant. There is private, confidential parking in the rear parking lot.

Free and confidential consultations are provided to clients who are pregnant so can understand options: adoption, abortion, or parenting. Program provides a 24 hour helpline, free pregnancy test and assistance, free ultrasound, post-abortion support, information about abortion alternatives and mentoring services. Material assistance: free infant formula and diapers, baby and infant equipment. Quantities and ability to earn material assistance are determined by agency.

Provides the opportunity to get assistance with issues related to parenting, to apply for needed benefits, to participate in a job training program with the goal of employment and to discuss with a case manager a plan for family success. Service provided by professional social workers. Includes assistance with becoming a foster or adoptive parent, parenting skills for foster parents, adoption and foster care support groups and life skills education.

Provides information about the different types of adoption that are available as options (such as private, public, or step-parent) and the requirements and procedures for relinquishing or adopting an infant or child. Facilitates the adoption process by compiling information about children who are available for adoption.

Provides information about adoptions and foster care in the State of Ohio. Maintains a web site with photographs, stories and local agency contact information about children waiting for adoption. The processing of adoptions is done by local private/public agencies under contract with ODJFS to provide this service.
