Houses stray dogs found in Geauga County. Unlicensed dogs that are brought to the Animal Shelter are held for three days before going up for adoption. Dogs wearing a current license are held for minimum of fourteen days.
Investigates complaints about cruelty to animals, rescues domestic animals and picks up stray cats and dogs, which are kept in a shelter for a short period (about three days). Takes reports of lost animals (cats and dogs). Loans humane animal traps to residents for wild animals, such as raccoons and opossums, etc.

The Pickaway County Dog Shelter is a county owned and operated full-service dog shelter which holds stray dogs for a required period of time before they are placed up for adoption.

Provides animal services for the City of Brook Park. Includes pickup of stray animals, who are held at least 3 days, more if there is space. Animals are given necessary medical care when possible, and are eventually offered for adoption if not reclaimed. Cats not reclaimed or adopted go to the APL; dogs go to the County kennel.
