Insure dogs kept within Mahoning County are licensed, issue court citations for violations. Provides animal services for the City of Brook Park. Includes pickup of stray animals, who are held at least 3 days, more if there is space. Animals are given necessary medical care when possible, and are eventually offered for adoption if not reclaimed. Cats not reclaimed or adopted go to the APL; dogs go to the County kennel. Provides information on poisons dangerous to animals. Rescues animals in Brook Park who are in danger, and investigates incidences of animal cruelty. Does limited humane trapping - resident requests trap, and Animal Control sets and clears it.

Provides foster care for pets that their owners can no longer care for. Services include: food, shelter, spay and neutering, and medical care. The organization has trained volunteers who take care of and work with unwanted animals to prepare them for adoption. Animals are kept in care until adopted.
