Adoption includes behavioral and medical evaluations, spay/neuter services, vaccines, de-worming, and a microchip. Offers euthanasia services for dogs that are suffering from advanced age, incurable disease, or severe injury.

Provides shelter for stray and unwanted dogs found in Medina County. Issues citations for loose dogs found without a license. Quarantines stray dogs involved in bites. Accepts sick or injured animals but will make referrals to the Humane Society or SPCA if unable to provide necessary level of care.

Accepts owner surrendered animals when space and resources are available. The shelter does not euthanize to make space so there is generally a waiting list to surrender an animal. Assists with Trap Neuter Release programs throughout Lorain County.
