Provides animal adoption services. Applicants must allow CAHS the option to conduct a home visit to confirm that your home will be a good environment for a new pet. We do not require a home visit for all adopters. We do home visits in extremely rare cases such as if the dog or cat requires unique medical care or if the dog has unique behavioral issues.
Adoptable cats pictured on the website are all vaccinated (FVRCP, Rabies as age appropriate), spayed/neutered, and have received flea and de-worming medication while they are at the shelter and will receive a microchip before they go home.
Provides the opportunity for older adults to adopt mature pets (seven years or older) at a reduced price of a regular adoption. Adoption Includes a complete physical examination for ear mites, fleas, basic pre-screening blood tests, microchipping, first set of vaccinations and sterilization.
