VA will pay up to $796 toward burial and funeral expenses for deaths on or after October 1, 2019 (if hospitalized by VA at time of death), or $300 toward burial and funeral expenses (if not hospitalized by VA at time of death), and a $796 plot-interment allowance (if not buried in a national cemetery). Provides United States burial flags and memorial certificates.

We have the Veterans Honor Grounds, and will assist in the burial of a veteran if the family does not have the financial means. We can also assist with information and burial in the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.

Also provides emergency financial assistance for veterans and/or their dependents with proven need. May include (but is not limited to) financial assistance with prescriptions, transportation expenses, utilities, food, rent, mortgage, basic necessities, etc.

Assists the family of a veteran with applying for any burial benefits they may be eligible for: burial in a national cemetery, burial allowance, and memorial benefits.

Main Post Office for Mansfield. Post Office process passport applications for United States citizens. Regular applications have a 6-12 week waiting period to be issued, but can be expedited and issued sooner by paying additional fees. Hours are by appointment only. Provides Selective Service Registration materials to facilitate the registration process. Provides burial flags for veterans through a partnership with the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Provides veteran burial benefits and/or resources for military families.

Assists with veteran burial VA forms, documentation, and submission of claims.

Provides emergency financial assistance to Montgomery County resident veterans who qualify and establish a bona fide need for the following assistance: utilities (electric, gas and water) food (foodbank) mortgage or rent payment and burial benefits. Veterans may be able to receive up to $1,000 to go towards their insurance deductible for the tornado assistance.

Assist veterans and families with VA claims, temporary financial assistance, utility assistance, transportation to Wade Park VA and Parma, burial expense assistance.
