Under the umbrella of Employment Navigation KCBDD can coordinate employment-related services for those with DD with several agencies in the community. Primary partners are Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities and local employment vendors who provide supports that may include, helping complete an application, helping write a resume, going to the interview with the individual, helping them learn the job, or talking to their employer to help them keep a job. A Supported Employment provider or job coach can also work closely with the individual's team to help identify and strengthen the qualities that employers look for in their employees. There are also opportunities for career discovery, development, work trials, assessments and summer youth work programming

Subcontracts with local business and industry to provide a variety of paid work opportunities, including light assembly, packaging, and bulk mail fulfillment. A nonprofit business operating with the Vocational Guidance Center and the Willoughby Workshop.

Offers vocational training and provides people with disabilities meaningful work experiences. These vocational experiences have traditionally taken place in the PerCo workshop; however the PerCo Board has extended services beyond the workshop to become more fully integrated with the Perry County community.

Offers a full range of services for individuals diagnosed with developmental disabilities population, extending from preschool to older adults. Services include education, work services and supported employment for adults, residential services, supported living services, family resource services, nursing, transportation, and case management services.

Provides individuals with disabilities access to employment supports beginning in school, through the transition from high school to adulthood and for the rest of their lives. One of the primary responsibilities is to assist in the planning, coordinating and monitoring of employment-related supports to job-seekers with developmental disabilities in Perry County. This is done through person-centered support plans concerning employment outcomes, employment coordination and/or educational services, by linking and referring to the appropriate supports. The EN monitors employment supports to ensure successful outcomes. The EN also focuses on maintaining employer contacts in the community to develop ongoing resources for job-seekers, as well as helping to build the capacity of provider-partners.

Provides assistance for adults with developmental disabilities to find a job of their choice in the community. We continue supports through training and follow along with the person and their employer. Richland Newhope Industries, Inc. (RNI, Inc.) specializes in successfully matching the needs of the employer with the skills that the individual requesting services possess. The community employment team not only supports the individuals requesting services, but also the employers in the community. The team offers job shadows and job assessments to individuals who are not yet sure of their vocational interest. This will provide the individual with more knowledge of the job market in order to make a more informed career decision. Work crews in janitorial and lawn service serve local business and residential customers. Industrial Services - RNI, Inc. operates two productions sites with training and employment in light assembly, packaging, fulfillment, wooden pallets, stakes, picture frames, electronic recycling and document imaging for individuals to develop work skills. Social/Integration Services - Activities of daily living, sensory stimulation and socialization are designed to help each individual interact with their environment and the community in a meaningful way. Options for Seniors - Individuals who have chosen to retire enjoy social, leisure and skill based activities. Volunteer opportunities in the community are emphasized. Community Integrated Services - Quality activities are structured around each individual's interests. Self-Advocacy - RNI, Inc. supports self-advocacy efforts, locally and throughout the State. Additional operations include the City Garden Café located in the Mansfield City Building serving breakfast and lunch items and the Element of Art Studio/Gallery located across from the Carrousel, showcasing works of art produced by artists with developmental disabilities. Art works include acrylics, photographs, pottery, glassware and jewelry. We provide wood products, lawn and janitorial services to local residents and businesses.

Offers habilitation and support services which enable the individual to live and participate in the community as well as vocational support.

Work center for the disabled, offering cost effective solutions for business and the community. Provides a comprehensive vocational rehab program to return individuals to work. Provides work evaluations, work adjustments (both facility and community based), job seeking skills, placement, computer clerical training, career counseling, job coaching, job shadowing, and case management.

Offers a program that emphasizes training for life skills and work for developmentally disabled adults. Participants learn skills and work together on projects that involve assembling mailings and other information. Program includes recreational and field trips for participants.

Offers a training program in producing crafts and fine arts to persons who are handicapped, unemployed, underemployed. Crafts are sold in a boutique and participants receive 40% of the selling price. Individuals must be referred through a case worker, case manager, or pastor.

Through work experience, adult clients develop skills in work responsibilities, performance and interpersonal skills. Some services include paid employment and supportive services, such as rehabilitation engineering, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and physical therapy. Individualized and small group instruction in self-directed leisure activities, computer skills, and the like, are offered.

Provides on and off-site manufacturing, assembly, and packing employment opportunities to traumatic brain injury survivors. Participants receive task training and job adaptations as needed. Participants also have access to a variety of independent living skills classes, such as reading, cooking, and computer skills.
