Under the umbrella of Employment Navigation KCBDD can coordinate employment-related services for those with DD with several agencies in the community. Primary partners are Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities and local employment vendors who provide supports that may include, helping complete an application, helping write a resume, going to the interview with the individual, helping them learn the job, or talking to their employer to help them keep a job. A Supported Employment provider or job coach can also work closely with the individual's team to help identify and strengthen the qualities that employers look for in their employees. There are also opportunities for career discovery, development, work trials, assessments and summer youth work programming

Provides individuals with disabilities access to employment supports beginning in school, through the transition from high school to adulthood and for the rest of their lives. One of the primary responsibilities is to assist in the planning, coordinating and monitoring of employment-related supports to job-seekers with developmental disabilities in Perry County. This is done through person-centered support plans concerning employment outcomes, employment coordination and/or educational services, by linking and referring to the appropriate supports. The EN monitors employment supports to ensure successful outcomes. The EN also focuses on maintaining employer contacts in the community to develop ongoing resources for job-seekers, as well as helping to build the capacity of provider-partners.

Assists individuals who have a work-related illness or injury and/or a non- work-related illness or injury make the transition back to regular work assignment by accommodating their restrictions through "Light-Duty" work. This provides the injured worker with independence and responsibility allowing them to recover sooner in this restricted environment and return to work earlier.

RTC Industries offers employment in an industrial setting. Individualized services focus on developing or enhancing personal and vocational skills through production tasks. Work is sub-contracted through local business and allows persons served to earn a paycheck on a regular basis. RTC provides transportation to and from the program.

Project WAVE is a transition program for young adults with disabilities. The program, whose main goal is employment, is offered to students who have completed all high school graduation requirements and are between the ages of 18 and 22 years old. The school year program provides structured educational experiences designed to support the long term goals of employment, independent living, and community participation.
