Works to help adults with developmental disabilities achieve the highest level of independent function possible. Each new client receives an individual plan which is reviewed as needed. Services include work evaluation, basic skills development, recreational activities for seniors no longer working. A number of supportive services are provided to participants, including communication skills training, recreation and activities, social work, physical therapy and occupational therapy.

Offer credentialing opportunities, with curriculum partner New Collar Network, in 3D printing technologies to students in an 18-week experience in preparation for the workforce. Family Support Specialist collaborates with community organizations throughout the Mahoning Valley to assist young women and their families before, during and after pregnancy with food, transportation, clothing, diapers, medical appointment scheduling/follow up, essential needs and employment.

Tobacco cessation program to help pregnant women quit smoking and stay tobacco free after baby is born. Women who enroll in the program, quit smoking and remain tobacco free after the baby is born receive free diapers for 12 months (voucher to Walmart each month).

Offers a four-week job readiness training, career counseling, life skills and personal development to assist fathers who are unemployed or underemployed. Job placement assistance available upon successful completion of the program.

Designed to help participants obtain and retain employment by providing job training and job placement services necessary to help unemployed, underemployed and hard-to-employ residents of Lucas County become self-sufficient.

Provides help for eligible individuals applying for benefits, including but not limited to, food stamps, cash assistance, medical (Medicaid), and Social Security; obtaining official documents (birth certificates, state-issued ID), searching for employment, housing, mental health counseling or other community resources.

Provides workforce development training that includes computer training, resume preparation and interview and job searching techniques. Also provides soft skills training, wardrobe counseling, clothing through partnerships, transportation assistance, job coaching and job placement assistance. Includes a stipend.

Provides employment and reentry services to help veterans who have been recently released from incarceration. Clients are linked to appropriate community services based on their situation and need. Clients in this program may receive limited cash assistance to help them become self sufficient. The program is a 16-week peer/mentor guided assistance in connecting to resource providers, while receiving guidance that promotes pro-social behavior. The program is goal-oriented to lead clients to a healthy, productive lifestyle. While participating in this program veterans are able to request monetary assistance with housing, utilities, food, and clothing.

Provides a program to assist and support those needing to develop and increase job search skills and obtain meaningful employment. Topics include career assessment, interview practice, resume building, time management, workplace etiquette, trauma, communication and conflict resolution and financial literacy. Child care assistance, lunch and breakfast are available, transportation provided if needed. Job seekers will be guaranteed job offers as they complete the program. Job seekers will also receive CVS Customer Service training and certification as well as part of the program. Clients, who may be interested, can be assisted in enrollment in the Culinary Arts Program.

Workplace staff offer basic computer skills training, job search and placement assistance, vocational and literacy evaluations, and labor market information.

Links qualified candidates to open positions in manufacturing. Focus is on recruiting to fill specific positions that employers are looking for. Job categories range from administrative to machine operators.

Designed to help ex-offenders successfully re-enter the community and the workforce, avoid recidivism and become stable, economically self-sufficient parents and taxpayers. Transitions offers workforce development workshops, cognitive behavior intervention, support for the removal of barriers to employment and job placement assistance, individual career counseling, workforce development workshops, resume creation and consultation, job interview preparation, job application assistance and job placement assistance.

Provides a two-week job assistance program. Services include training and placement. Participants are assessed to identify job skills, then receive instruction on how to apply for jobs online, develop a resume, cover letter and thank-you letters. Participants learn about effective job search techniques, interview etiquette and on-the-job attire.

Provides periodic workshops that assist with putting together effective job resumes, interview practice, using social media to search for a job and to post job requirements.

Through work experience, adult clients develop skills in work responsibilities, performance and interpersonal skills. Some services include paid employment and supportive services, such as rehabilitation engineering, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, and physical therapy. Individualized and small group instruction in self-directed leisure activities, computer skills, and the like, are offered.

Offers a variety of employment services with a focus on job placement for new workers, job retention for those currently employed, and career mobility for others.

Publishes a periodic newspaper containing articles, poems, and editorials regarding issues of homelessness. The newspaper helps to educate the public about homelessness, and also provides job opportunities for people to return to the workforce by buying the papers for a low price and reselling them to the public. The vendors receive training, including being informed of city ordinances regarding selling, are in some cases assigned shifts at major distribution points, and have the opportunity to publish experiences of being without housing.

Provides comfort and support for the beliefs, values, behaviors, traditions, and rituals of the Asian community. Services may include counseling, bereavement, and/or case management. Able to make referrals to appropriate agencies in other areas.

Provides job search assistance, workshops on seeking employment, and individual counseling to assist veterans in finding employment.
