A three hour session which tests interests, abilities, aptitudes, and values that are then measured, computer-scored, and analyzed by a vocational counselor on an individualized basis. The results help determine an appropriate job and will include a vocational recommendation.

The Fast Forward Re-engagement Center (FFRC) assists youth, who are out of school, not attending regularly or credit deficient to identify a best fit academic option to complete a high school credential and career pathway. FFRC provides one central location in a safe space for students and families to access the resources and coaching needed to re-enroll in school and get back on track to graduation. Established in 2001 and nationally recognized as a one-of-a-kind resource center for out-of-school youth, the FFRC connects with students and families by listening and offering support to help them get back on track for graduation. This is a county-wide collaborative partnership with traditional and non-traditional schools, as well as, community organizations and youth workforce development agencies throughout Montgomery County.

Work Assessments offer opportunities for "job tryouts" with community-based employers to determine areas of interest and existing skill sets. Job Development focuses on the outcome of community job placement. Individuals may receive assistance with resume development, interview proficiency, job search techniques and employer advocacy. Job Coaching assists individuals to develop the skills to be successful in community employment by offering supplemental training and oversight to solidify job performance. Transition Services assist students, ages 14-22, with preparation for employment via career exploration and job readiness training. Job club, Summer Youth and Project SEARCH programs were designed specifically to achieve the employment goals of students transitioning into the workforce. We also provide Job Readiness and Career Exploration classes for Jr. High and High School students from throughout our service area.

DCRC provides vocational support services in a variety of ways. For those enrolled in OOD, DCRC can provide skills training to help get a job or a better job. Consumers can learn how to write an effective resume, fill out applications, and practice interview skills. DCRC will advocate for support services and teach consumers to advocate for their needs. Once the consumer has a job, DCRC can provide on-the-job support through the training and orientation period.
DCRC also has general educational workshops related to vocational development open to all.
