Counseling is given regarding career options and interests, colleges, the admission process, financial aid, the completion of forms, and scholarship searches. Offers financial assistance provided through three types of scholarships. Can counsel individuals on student loan debt and help find the best option to help pay the debt, such as Income Based Repayment plans, loan forgiveness options, and/or consolidation options. Will help with applications for those options. Note: Does not provide direct financial assistance.

OJT NEG (On the Job Training - National Emergency Grant) will be offered to employers and job seekers. The purpose of this program is to put unemployed workers to work earning wages while receiving necessary training. The individual hired has to be a dislocated/unemployed person. The benefit to the employer is that they can be reimbursed for some costs associated with training the OJT participant. Reimbursement to the employer can be up to $8,000 per participant.
Employment assistance for individuals and businesses. The OhioMeansJobs Richland Center provides access to a state-wide internet-based job matching system, use of computers and other office equipment to prepare and mail resumes and job applications, free job search workshops, and interview space and recruiting opportunities for employers.

Intelligence Testing
Provide incentives to those obtaining adult vocational certificates or for those with new employment. The adult vocational certificate incentive will offer a one-time payment of $300 for successfully completing a full-time adult education course or $100 for successfully completing a part-time adult education course. The application for these funds must be completed within 90 days of completion of the course and the certificate must be provided. The employment incentive program will offer an individual obtaining employment up to $2,000 over the course of 12 months for obtaining and maintaining employment that is at least 20 hours per week. Adults will be provided $500 after the first 30 days of employment and then $500 at the fourth, eighth and 12th month of continuous employment. The application for this program must be received within the first 90 days of employment, and it is limited to one offer per participant. The participant is required to meet for an assessment every quarter before obtaining the next payment.
