Women’s Health provides services for women who are pregnant and children who are at high risk

Provides mammograms, gynecology and pap tests.

Offers a full range of services in women’s health care and offer ultrasound, urodynamics testing, as well as in-house laboratory services. Also offers a CNM (Midwife) on staff that can routine gynecological care, which includes family planning services, yearly health maintenance examinations, care of the woman during menopause and the treatment of minor gynecologic disorders.

Provide perinatal mental health counseling. Services include depression, anxiety and mood disorder during and after pregnancy, adjustment difficulties, postpartum stress and birth trauma, treatment for substance abuse and addiction during and after pregnancy through RISE Recovery, and coping with miscarriage and loss.

Women’s Health Program at MVHC provides comprehensive gynecological and obstetrical care by a nurse mid-wife, obstetricians, nurse practitioners and a Centering Pregnancy program. Offers patient education including childbirth education, referrals, infant feeding, parenting and smoking cessation. The following services are provided: - Routine gynecological exams including paps and breast exams - Birth control - Colposcopies - Centering Pregnancy Program - LEEPS - Endometrial biopsies - Pre-natal and post-natal obstetrical care - Coordination of High Risk Obstetrical Care with The Ohio State University Hospital - Prenatal Suboxone program.

Provides a variety of services that cover women's health concerns, including screening for bone density (osteoporosis), breast exams, pap smears, obstetrics/gynecological services, pregnancy testing, birth control, midwifery, and prenatal care. Testing and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases is also offered. Also offers mammograms for men.

Provides primary and preventative health care including pediatric and adult medicine, physical examinations, asthma/allergy, treatment of sexually transmitted diseases, school and sports physicals, assistance completing applications and referrals to specialists. Services may vary per location. Lorain - Central site also offers women's health and OB/GYN services. Lorain - South site also offers podiatry. NOTE: Assistance with transportation to appointment may be available.

COVID-19 Temporary Message: Family Planning will still have clinics on Mondays from 10:30AM-7PM and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8AM-4:30PM.
