1. Long-term Acute Care Hospital - Has thirty-six (36) beds for adult inpatients requiring acute nursing care and/or aggressive physical rehabilitation for an average length of stay greater than twenty-five (25) days; includes both private and semi-private rooms. Inpatient Dialysis services are available. The acute Rehabilitation Program serves patients who have traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple injuries, complicated stroke, neurological conditions, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, cardiac disease, cancer, and complex deconditioning. The Complex Medical Program serves patients with complex injuries and extensive wounds, and illnesses generally caused by multiple diagnoses. These patients may be pre- or post-surgical, pre-rehabilitative, or generally deconditioned. They require an acute level of nursing care and longer inpatient convalescence.
2. Ventilator Weaning Program - This program provides medically integrated compassionate care for patients while reducing their dependency on ventilators and rebuilding their physical strength, endurance, and independence. These patients are admitted to the Long Term Acute Care Hospital. An on-site board-certified pulmonologist is the medical director, and a pulmonologist is available 24-hours a day. Registered nurses and respiratory therapists, who have been specifically trained in the care of ventilator dependent patients, staff the unit 24-hours a day. Physical, occupational, and speech therapies are provided as appropriate.
3. Wound Care Program - The advanced wound healing program follows a healing progression and includes an individualized plan of care to help facilitate healing. The wound care team utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach to wound care management that includes the availability of the expertise of our Primary Care Physicians, Rehabilitation Physicians, Registered Dietician, Physical Therapy Staff, Occupational Therapy Staff, Speech Therapist, Behavioral Medicine, and Nursing Services. Our outcomes-focused clinical team follows recognized standards of care that are research based and have achieved a healing rate of 90% for surgical, vascular, diabetic, and pressure related wounds. We offer multiple modalities to help facilitate the healing process including negative pressure therapy, infrared light therapy, and hydrotherapy, along with our practices of advanced wound healing and preventative skin care practices.
4. Outpatient Therapy Services - Therapies and services available include aquatic therapy (conducted in a warm-water therapeutic pool); neuropsychology assessments and interventions; occupational therapy; physical therapy; speech and language therapy; and hearing/audiologist services. 5. Feather's Sleep Center - This outpatient program is designed to provide outpatient diagnostic testing and interpretation of various types of sleep disorders. Prescription is required and there are convenient appointments. Private bedrooms, queen-size beds. Fast results.
6. Open Time in the Therapeutic Pool - The warm-water indoor pool is designed to promote physical mobility for physically challenged people with injuries and painful conditions such as arthritis. The water temperature is maintained around ninety-two degrees. The 40' x 30' pool has three sections: general activity area where the water is a constant 3 1/2' deep; movable floor area where the water depth can be adjusted from deck level to 7' deep; and a spa with built-in benches and adjustable water massage jets. Water exercise benefits people who lack muscle tone, have painful joint movement, or weight bearing restrictions. Warm water promotes stress relief, flexibility, relaxation, and pain reduction.
