Provides guidance on dealing with diabetes, including menu planning and other education.

Provides a program to assist in managing diabetes that stresses the importance of good nutrition and food choices, food education, and principles of exercise. Class is taught by a registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator. Staff of the organization work with participants on exercise principles.

Provides information, education and management of diabetes through one-on-one meetings with certified diabetes educators and through classes. Service includes assistance from registered dieticians, who are also diabetes educators, and who can teach meal planning, diet modification, and weight control. Also provides a support group for those suffering from diabetes.

Helps participants’ understanding of an A1C to learning how to prepare fresh and healthy meals and to help build skills needed to control diabetes and other chronic disease in a 5-week series of classes. Recipes and fruits and vegetables are distributed throughout the program and participants who complete the program receive a 3-month membership to the Wayman D. Palmer YMCA.

Provides a comprehensive diabetes education program that includes group and one-on-one teaching of all phases of diabetes management, including the physiology of diabetes, insulin instruction, meal-planning, hypoglycemia management, and blood glucose monitoring. Offers information on reading nutrition labels.

Provides shared medical appointment sessions which are designed to work in conjunction with clients' primary care physicians to reverse disease for individuals who have a diagnosis of a number of chronic, debilitating, medical conditions, including lupus, psoriasis, . The program teaches how to manage and reverse chronic disease by learning stress management techniques, exercising, cooking healthfully and understanding nutrition.
