Offers a course for mothers and partners which covers many topics which are part of the birth process - labor, pain management, normal new baby behavior, new baby care, postpartum depression, etc. Each night offers a component of Lamaze technique to assist the mother. Participants receive a wealth of printed materials. Each five-week class series includes a tour of the birthing center, including a look at the birthing suites and postpartum unit. (even if they will not deliver at Metro). Participants in this course are also eligible to have the assistance of a doula (a skilled woman to assist the mother at the birth).

Also offers free material assistance, such as infant formula, diapers, infant needs etc. Quantities and ability to earn material assistance are determined by agency.

Beginning in the 7th month of pregnancy provides educational classes on: nutrition, exercise, Lamaze breathing, types of medications that can be used during childbirth, breastfeeding; also offers special caesarean section classes. Kangaroo Kapers offers classes to help children 2-12 adjust to a new baby brother or sister.
