Habitat can provide an affordable loan up to $2,000. Funds may be used to address “quality of life” issues for Southeast Ohio residents in order to maintain and sustain their current housing. They include, but are not limited to: *Small home improvement and repairs *Appliance repairs and purchases *Major vehicle repair or purchase *Medical equipment *Home accessibility projects and purchases

Provides: home health care (home health aides and home nurses) by medical staff; homemaker services; and durable medical equipment sales and rentals.

Provides free medical equipment loaned to anyone who needs it on a short term basis. Equipment may include wheelchairs, crutches, bath chairs, canes, bed rails, lifts, and slings. *Items that ARE NOT available: hospital beds, lift chairs, prescription items, limb braces, prosthetics, syringes, oxygen and cpap supplies.

Agency loans assistive medical equipment to anyone in need on a temporary basis at no charge. Includes wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, toilet and personal care equipment. No electric wheel chairs, scooters or reclining beds.

Provides free diapers, pull-ups, wipes, adult incontinence supplies, and menstrual supplies. - Diaper Sizes: Preemie, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. - Pull-up Sizes: 2-3t, 3t-4t, and 4t-5t. - Items provided by the Heart of Ohio Diaper Bank.

Provides a bag of full-sized bath, hygiene and cleaning supplies for families or individuals in need. This can be provided in conjunction with a financial assistance grant. Products may include toothbrushes, toothpaste, deodorant, soap and shampoo, wipes, hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels and any other household specific requests (feminine products, detergent, denture cleaner, and so forth).

Provides assistive equipment as either a gift or for a 90 day loan period, depending on the equipment needed. Equipment may include wheelchairs, hospital beds, walkers, bathroom aids, knee scooters, portable ramps, rollators, canes, and other specialty equipment.

This is not a service of any particular agency. This has been added in order to provide information on how customers may request help from their home medical equipment or home care provider. If a customer is unable to pay for necessary items due to low-income or financial hardship, some medical equipment suppliers provide a process for reducing costs on durable medical items and supplies. This may help with equipment such as: oxygen tanks, wheelchairs, commodes, lifts, hospital beds, medical monitoring equipment, adult diapers, etc. In some cases, the supplier will first attempt to match the client with existing programs or benefits. If the client is already covered by some type of benefit or program, supplier will see if there is a way to have the items covered under the plan. If the client is found to be ineligible for any existing benefits or programs, but meet certain criteria (which varies from company-to-company), all or part of the customer's debt may be forgiven or a lower cost may be negotiated. Does not help with syringes.

Loans medical equipment to people in need. Inventory varies but may include hospital beds, bedside commodes, transfer benches, shower chairs, canes, commode risers, walkers, commode safety rails, and crutches as well as smaller items. *Wheelchairs are not currently available.

Provides supplies to be used by girls and women during monthly menstrual cycles, such as tampons and sanitary napkins, in the library district's public and staff restrooms.

Offers First Aid Kits, Emergency Preparedness Kits, Weather Radios, Flashlights etc... for purchase on the Red Cross Store website.

Provides necessary home healthcare equipment and supplies that are required by people who are coping with the effects of a chronic health condition or disability or are convalescing following surgery or illness. Offers respiratory aids and oxygen, nutritional supplements and equipment, hygiene supplies, aerosol medication supplies and equipment, sleep apnea equipment, surgical supports, ambulatory equipment, non-ambulatory equipment including lift chairs, hospital beds, and equipment repairs. Offers home delivery.

Loans donated medical equipment on a short-term, temporary basis while recuperating from surgery or an injury.

Provides food and hygiene supplies for individuals and families in need. Distributes bread donated by various bakeries and grocery stores. Provides a Pet Food Pantry sponsored by the Humane Society of Summit County during pantry hours. Call ahead for pet food availability for existing clients.

Provides a choice food pantry for individuals and families in need. Offers meat, baking goods, cereals, pastas, canned goods and hygiene items. Supplies pads and tampons to menstruating individuals though United Way of Greater Lorain's Change the Cycle Program.

Provides clothing, shoes, and accessories for men, women, and children. Assists with household items such as small appliances, lamps, curtains, plates, pans, and so forth. Toiletries including shampoo, conditioner, toilet paper, soap, laundry detergent, feminine products, and incontinence supplies (adult diapers) are available on the 4th Thursday of the month. Ask at other times for critical needs. Clients are able to choose what they need among available items. There are monthly limits to what can be received. Adults can receive 30 items of clothing a month. Children can receive 20 items of clothing a month. The agency will keep track of the totals which will refresh the first of the month.

Provides test strips for monitoring blood sugar levels, and lancets and/or syringes.

(PRIVATE PROGRAM) - Provides free deliveries of essential items to individuals who are either home-bound or lack transportation in Lucas, Wood, Ottawa and Seneca Counties. Deliveries can be made within ten miles of the approved selected pick up location. Items eligible for delivery include food, household and personal hygiene products, holiday baskets/gifts, pet food, clothing, school supplies, and medical supplies. Callers should also be offered other resources for transportation based on eligibility.

Lends refurbished medical equipment to people who lack the insurance coverage or means to buy new medical equipment. Some of the supplies offered may be wheelchairs, canes, walkers, bathroom equipment, including tub benches, shower chairs, potty chairs, lift chairs. Accepts donated medical equipment from area residents who no longer need them or from organizations who have collected the items. Volunteers help clean and refurbish the devices. After final inspection by a qualified professional, the equipment is lent to people in the community and surrounding areas.

Provides breast care services including accurate prevention, early detection, diagnosis, educational programs and support services. Offer Joanie's Promise program which covers the payment of all diagnostic services for women who qualify for financial assistance.
