Helping Hands Medical Equipment Ministry

Offers loans on durable medical equipment including rollators, canes, knee scooter, wheel chairs, walkers, bedside commodes, hospital beds. Lift chairs are no longer offered. Most everything is donated, so item availability varies may have items not listed. May have incontinence supplies. When items loaned are no longer needed, return of items is required. Always in need of new donations. Can deliver items.

Provides all types of insulin and a 30-day supply of lancets and/or syringes for monitoring blood sugar levels. Also can provide pen needles for pre-loaded diabetic pens as well as as the pens. Type and amount of supplies available varies. Will work with clients to access other patient assistance programs.

DOES NOT have hospital beds or lift chairs.

Provides a vending machine that contains Naloxone Hydrochloride (Narcan) medication to individuals at risk of opioid/opiate overdose and to their friends and family in an effort to reduce fatal overdoses. Also provides supplies such as menstrual products, safe sex kits, fentanyl test strips, sharps containers, resource packets, and first aid/wound care. Vending machine provided by Summit County Public Health.
