Learn the latest and safest on diabetes prevention, nutrition, very safe and sane physical activity that will help you prevent or improve managing diabetes for life. Includes free health screening. We also provide wellness prevention education and health assessments for overall wellness, nutrition, physical activity, cooking demonstration to help with healthier choices to manage or prevent high blood pressure/heart disease and diabetes.

Offers a heart disease risk reduction program designed specifically for African-Americans. Topics include proper diet and nutrition.

Hispanic Health program designed to help the Hispanic community have access to medical care, social services and health education. Provide blood sugar, cholesterol and blood pressure screenings. Health Liaison serves as the link between the Hispanic community and health services. Assistance given to clients in Spanish with appointments and interpretations. The Promotora (community health liaison) teaches basic health education topics in Spanish.

Provides various exercise and fitness classes (Yoga, Senior Exercise, Line Dance, etc); provides blood pressure screenings, podiatry clinics, and other wellness activities for older adults. Occasionally offers health education on chronic disease management, Matter of Balance and other health topics.

Provides funds for the provision of health-related services for HIV+ individuals. Emergency assistance can be accessed to pay for medical appointments, medications, nutrition and other HIV related supportive services.

Provides multidisciplinary clinic for children and youth with a BMI greater than the 95 percentile and some other co-morbid condition. Families meet on an individual basis with a comprehensive team including a physician, dietician, psychologist and an exercise physiologist to make healthy lifestyle changes.

SNAP-Ed facilitates voluntary adoption of healthy food and physical activity choices and other good nutrition-related behaviors. Offers programs for adults with limited resources to attend providing free hands-on programs that teach the basics of nutrition, meal planning, budgets, food shopping, proper food preparation, and food safety.

Provides registered dietitians who can guide individuals and their families in making changes to their diet that may be required by health conditions or other circumstances. Also provides comprehensive nutrition education.
