The NAACP sponsors a variety of programs. Programs are designed to ensure civil rights compliance, equitable treatment of all Americans under law, the attainment of educational excellence, access to health care and economic empowerment.

Program with registered nurses available to support child care providers, both center-based and family child care, with health and safety issues.

Provides fire protection and fire prevention education and information for the City of Parma.

Offers family and consumer sciences program targets the following issues. Child Care, family life, parenting, adult development, nutrition, food safety, cooking classes, meal planning, money management, jobs and families, balancing work and family and health issues, educational programs and information can be provided on all of the target issues.

The Health Center is a patient-centered medical home offering preventive and primary care to patients of all ages. Medical services will include, but are not limited to: treatment of illness such as ear aches, colds, sore throats, sinus infections and management of chronic disease such as diabetes; physical exams for work, school and sports; well-child exams; immunizations for children and adults; and women’s health including pregnancy tests and Pap tests. Dental services include cleanings, fillings, sealants, extractions, x-rays, fluoride treatments, oral health exams and oral cancer screenings. Other clinical services include substance abuse treatment and counseling services. Health Center staff will also connect patients with other community services that can help them, including tobacco cessation classes and nutrition counseling. Medical services are available at the East Main Street Danville Health Center location.

Nutrition professionals promote wellness and disease prevention by ensuring effective nutrition education and counseling.

Partners with businesses to develop customized programs to meet their employee's needs including drug and alcohol testing, employee assistance programs, training and team building, drug-free workplace training/development, immunizations, counseling, BWC training and more. Companies can choose individual services or allow WorkLife to develop a customized solution to address a broad range of workplace wellness issues.

Provides information about local resources for dyslexia including referrals to tutoring, testing, and other supportive services.

Provides information about kidney disease, treatment options and related health issues such as hypertension, diabetes and organ donation. Offers information through patient symposiums, printed materials, professional education workshops and speakers (can go to a workplace to discuss kidney disease issues to employees.)

Provides disability outreach and support services for families directly affected by disabilities. Services include health education and life skills programs, parent support, links to health and other resources, referrals, and mentoring.

Provides information about the etiology, symptoms, preventive measures, screening/diagnostic procedures, and/or methods of treatment or management for a variety of eye diseases and conditions. Disseminates information about the latest research with regard to eye disease. Note: Cannot provide personalized medical advice.

Red Cross CPR/AED Training: Provides CPR training that teaches basic life-saving training including CPR, the use of an AED, and the relief of choking for adults, children, and infants. Babysitting Course: Designed for participants 11 and older, this babysitting course teaches the skills and concepts necessary to provide high-quality care. Provides information on caring for infants and children up to age 12, choosing age-appropriate activities, child behavior and more.

Offers health education programs on a variety of topics such as cardiac rehabilitation, stroke, snoring, health eating, and skin disorders.

Provides health care services, specialists, physicians, preventative medicine, programs and education to the surrounding community. Wood County provides care to those who have acute, life-threatening injuries or severe illnesses and also provide drug and alcohol abuse withdrawal treatment.

Communicable disease tracking and response of public health concerns, TB control, and Pan Flu coordination.

Provides registered dietitians who can guide individuals and their families in making changes to their diet that may be required by health conditions or other circumstances. Also provides comprehensive nutrition education.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is designed to help you reduce the impact of respiratory illness by helping to control or reduce breathlessness, and recondition the body so that you feel less short of breath. Key components include: - Assess & Monitor the Disease - Increase Stamina Through Exercise - Reduce Risk Factors (Tobacco Cessation) - Manage Stable Disease - Manage Exacerbations - Medication Assistance - Patient Education - Home Visits. Respiratory Disease Management Program strives to educate individuals on how to live better with Lung Disease. Key Components of the Disease Management Program include education on the most common cause of respiratory disease (smoking), along with other factors/environment that may lead to the development of respiratory disease. Rambo can help individuals with home respiratory equipment such as oxygen concentrators, mini e-tanks, and nebulizers with an order from your physician. If you do not have a physician, an appointment will be made with our Clinic Medical Director. A clinic nurse or respiratory therapist will do a home visit on anyone who has equipment placed in their home. A report of the visit will be kept in our Clinic records, and we can also provide a copy to the patient's physician for their records, upon request. Pulmonary Function Tests are performed upon the request of an individual's personal physician, our Clinic's Medical Director, or upon request of the patient. Individuals are counseled on the results and referred to their primary care physician for any additional care they may need. Chest x-rays are performed with an order from an individual's personal physician, or our Clinic's Medical Director. Individuals found to have possible lung problems are referred to their personal physician for care. Individuals with respiratory problems, who have no personal physician or are unable to pay for medical services, may receive treatment from our Clinic's Medical Director. Home visits are available for tuberculosis and respiratory patients. For complete homebound patients, home visits are available including, flu and pneumonia vaccines, medication assistance, air conditioner and respiratory equipment (with a physician's order). Curb-side service is available for some services at the clinic for those persons unable to walk into the clinic. Also offers educational material about the respiratory system and various breathing problems. Our Clinic Staff conducts workshops for schools, employees, parent groups, and other interested people in the community. Respiratory educational material is available upon request.

Providing free HIV/STI rapid testing for Hep C, Syphilis, HIV, PrEP/PEP, Referrals for treatment. Risk re-education/education, routine STI/HIV screening.

Offers numerous no cost healthy lifestyle and social programs for individuals affected by cancer and their family and friends including Yoga, Qigong, Mindfulness Meditation, Cooking for Wellness, educational workshops, and family activities. Also create customized wellness plans for each individual, identifying programs that can help them achieve better health outcomes and improved quality of life.

Provides information and outreach to the public about oral health. Oversees various programs that promote dental care and good oral health.

Offers a nutritional educational program for individuals at risk of developing diabetes. A trained lifestyle coach will introduce topics in a small classroom setting and encourage participants as to explore how healthy eating, physical activity and behavior changes can benefit their health.

Offers home visits and follow-up care for older adults 60 years and older with chronic lung disease. Respiratory therapist provides training on how the disease affects the patient's life and how to maintain quality of life. Provides on-going support and access to resources.
