A wide variety of assistive technology is available for Ohioans to try out

Provides a white cane to any individual who is blind or has low vision.

Provides assistance to families with children, birth up to twenty-six years of age, with hearing disorders, to purchase hearing aids, assistive listening devices, earmolds, external cochlear implant processor replacements, and/or hearing aid batteries.

Provides low vision aids, telescopic aids for distance, video magnifiers that enlarge text onto a monitor, lamps, reading stands and large print material

Provides evaluation and instruction in computer skills and the use of access technology for individuals who are blind or visually impaired

Provides financial assistance to low-income active United States military personnel (all branches of service) currently deployed overseas and to low-income post 9/11 Veterans with a wound, illness or injury received in the line of duty (LOD). Accepted reasons for financial assistance include mortgage assistance, rent assistance, home repairs, utility assistance, auto repairs, auto payments, travel and transportation, moving assistance, essential home items (mattresses and box springs and appliances such as washer, dryer, refrigerator, and stove), medical expense assistance, emergency dental assistance, child and dependent care assistance, critical baby items, and other financial assistance. Offers emergency financial assistance for critical baby items, food, and vision care to active duty service member with rank of rank E1-E6 with DEERS-eligible dependents. Note: Does NOT provide financial assistance for credit card debt or personal loans and does NOT assist with down payments for vehicles or homes.

Provides assistance to women who have been treated for cancer with choosing a wig, hats, and scarves.

Provides the following services: 82 bed skilled care facility for persons requiring assistance with daily living activities and professional nursing services.

Provides an online catalog, access to the Internet, and a wide range of electronic databases, videocassettes, DVDs, audio books, ebooks, eAudiobooks, and other digital downloads. Provides comprehensive vision care to uninsured and underinsured individuals of all ages in Ohio. Services offered include vision care education, free eye examinations and free eyeglasses, and financial resources for ophthalmological care. Must meet the qualification process. Note: Program assists with eyeglasses but not with contact lenses.

Offers adapted recreation and physical activity programs for individuals with disabilities. Services include adapted aquatics, fitness classes, personal training, sports clubs, outdoor adventure/indoor climbing, and camps.

Provides participants with a structured day of activities in a safe environment; breakfast, lunch and snacks are provided; for persons with Alzheimer's, a related disorder, or frail elderly. Transportation available.

Provides available medical equipment and supplies for cancer patients and survivors. Medical equipment includes items such as wheelchairs, walkers, bedside commodes, shower benches, raised toilet seats, electric beds, and more. Medical supplies include such items as dressings, tapes, latex gloves, ostomy supplies, bed pads, pull-ups, briefs, and chux.,

Provides custom-fitted artificial limbs for patients that need them to live a productive life. Designs and other features are made available based on individuals situations and needs.

When available, loans good condition recycled wheelchairs, mobility aids, such as walkers and canes, and other durable medical equipment.

Loans crutches, walkers and sometimes wheelchairs to those who need them. Availability of items will depend on what the agency has on hand.

Offers assistance with the purchase of hearing aids for children.

Give Medical Ministry collects and loans rolling walkers, non-rolling walkers, canes, and crutches. Availability depends on donations.

Provides hairpieces and wigs made from human or synthetic hair for youth with permanent or temporary medical hair loss due to a health condition such as alopecia, cancer, or burns.

Provides adaptive equipment to aid in mobility and daily tasks; provides custom-designed artificial limbs to those who need them. Provides durable medical equipment (hospital beds, lifts, etc.). Provides home modifications to make the home more accessible such as: ramp installation, lowered counters, widened doors, and accessible bathroom features.

Offers assistance with the purchase of hearing aids for children.

Eyeglass Program assists Tipp City and Monroe Township residents ONLY, every two years with eye examinations.

Provides new wigs to anyone in need of a wig due to cancer. Also provides additional support to cancer survivors.
