Trauma refers to any injury caused by physical force. In most cases, trauma is the result of motor vehicle crashes, falls, gunshots, stabbing or blunt assaults. Survival rate and better recovery dramatically increase when patients with trauma-related injuries are treated at a trauma center as quickly as possible.
