Provides child safety seats and booster seats to eligible low income families

Car Seat Safety Program: This program provides free car seats, and car seat instruction to families who could not otherwise afford protective passenger gear. Special K.A.R.S provides education to physicians, childcare professionals, and families who require the use of a special needs car seat. Free special needs care seats and education are available.

Provides the state funded (OBB) Ohio Buckles Buckeyes program to provide free car and booster seats for Hamilton County. Families must attend car seat safety class in order to receive seat.

Also provides up to $75 worth of diapers and up to $30 in organic baby food coupons.

Survival Kit contains a sheet for the Pack N Play, a sleep sack for the infant, a bedtime storybook and educational materials for the parents. Family must come to the Board of Health office to pick up Pack N Play and receive instruction on proper assembly and use before taking Pack N Play home.

Safe Kids Ohio is led by Akron Children's Hospital, which provides dedicated and caring staff, operation support and other resources to assist in achieving our common goal: keeping your kids safe. Based on the needs of the community, this coalition implements evidence-based programs, such as car-seat checkups, safety workshops and sports clinics, that help parents and caregivers prevent childhood injuries.

Provides parenting education and safety items to eligible parents with children up to 3 years of age. Includes but not limited to car seats, smoke detectors, booster seats, carbon monoxide detectors, high chairs, baby gates, outlet covers, strollers, cribs, and toddler beds.

Women’s Center–Dayton offers abortion alternatives including free pregnancy tests and ultrasound scans to those who qualify. Free and confidential consultations are provided to clients who are pregnant so can understand options: adoption, abortion, or parenting. Program provides a 24 hour helpline, free pregnancy test and assistance, free ultrasound, post-abortion support, information about abortion alternatives and mentoring services. Material assistance: free infant formula and diapers, baby and infant equipment. Quantities and ability to earn material assistance are determined by agency.

A car seat application must be completed and an educational session on proper use and installation of the child safety seat must be attended.
