Provides a variety of safety training classes for businesses.The purpose of the program is to make all workplaces safe for employees and to aid in training employees to maintain a safe workplace; some of the course topics include First aid, CPR, Forklift, Defensive driving, OSHA 10 and 30 hours in General Industry and Construction, and Confined Space. Also presents breakfasts and luncheons with safety topics.Members receive an onsite inspection to check for safety violations and are given advice on correcting violations, findings are not reported to OSHA.
Butler Township Fire Department is responsible for providing services in the following areas of fire fighting: emergency medical (including paramedic level), technical rescue (trench, building collapse, high angle, etc.), hazardous materials, vehicle extrication, fire inspection, fire investigation, public safety education, and many other specialized services.
