The Columbus Aquatics Center is home to six 25-yard swim lanes, an open area for casual swimming, a separate baby pool and a diving well with 1-meter and 3-meter diving boards. The center offers swimming lessons for beginners, intermediate and competition levels as well as lap swim and fitness classes.

To provide individuals and families with general water safety information in order to create an awareness of causes and prevention of water accidents, to develop a desire to be safe, and to encourage healthy and safe water recreation.

Covers the fundamentals of safe boating: state-required equipment, watercraft laws, navigation Rules of the Road, basic safety and risk management, and aids to navigation. Boaters born on or after January 1st, 1982, MUST successfully complete either a boating course or a proficiency exam in order to operate a boat powered by more than 10 horsepower.
