Offers information to increase public awareness of the measures people can take to ensure their own safety and that of their children when dealing with family dogs or strange dogs that are encountered outside the home environment.

This could include the following: Full size cribs, toddler beds, mattresses, strollers, convertible high-chairs, temporal thermometers, baby monitors, baby gates, childproofing home safety kits, and smoke/carbon monoxide alarms. Includes infant and child safety education on various topics, such as infant safe sleep guidelines, in-home safety recommendations and car seat best-practice training.

Offers an instructional course for seniors about crime prevention, self-defense, traffic laws, elderly abuse, crimes against seniors, the criminal justice system, and the history of the Solon Police Department. Includes a tour of the police department.

D.A.R.E. Program is held in all Clark County School Districts 5th and 9th grades. Other community educational programs include: Neighborhood Crime Watch and special presentations; Safety Village is held every June for those children going to attend kindergarten.

Marietta/Belpre Health Department offers in-person or virtual car seat classes for those who qualify. Car seat classes are the 2nd Thursday of every month.
