Provides a program that teaches responsible and safe babysitting techniques to grandparents. Participants will learn how to provide the best and safest care for their grandchildren. They will also learn the latest information on how to safely care for infants and children and how to manage the behavior of children of all ages, in addition to life-saving skills such as choking rescue, first aid, and injury management. Grandparents will learning tips on creating a good relationship from the start as well as learning to say no to every request to babysit. This will enhance their relationship with their children and create lasting memories with their grandchildren.
Designed for students ages 11 and older, this online training provides the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly care for infants and children up to the age of 10, as well as to manage a babysitting business. It takes about 4 hours to complete and makes learning fun with lots of videos and interactive games. A score of 80% or higher on the final exam is required to receive a printable Diploma. Dozens of downloadable resources provide: - Step-by-step instructions for skills, such as spoon-feeding - Summaries of each lesson - Templates for resumes and business cards - Forms to aid parent interviews and more. You can also sign up for Babysitter’s Training with Pediatric First Aid/CPR, which takes about 9 ½ hours and also offers a 2-year certification in Pediatric First Aid/CPR. A digital certificate is available upon successful completion of this course. 4C for Children provides Ohio Approved in-person or virtual training to help early childhood professionals advance their skills, programs and careers. Child care providers learn from highly qualified instructors while interacting with other early childhood professionals either virtually or in-person at 4C training locations. Training may include single sessions or series that focus on important child development, early childhood education best practices and basic health and safety training.

Financial assistance to cover day care costs on behalf of low income families so they may participate in OWF and/or education or training to maintain employment. This department also certifies day care providers to provide services through subsidized child care program.

We offer over 50 trainings annually, including Health & Safety trainings twice annually and Child Development throughout the year. All are Ohio Approved trainings.
4C for Children’s Quality Programs Department offers coaching and technical assistance supports to child care providers to enhance the quality of care for children, and to help them achieve or increase a Step Up To Quality rating in the state's quality rating system. 4C for Children coaching staff will meet with providers in a variety of ways, depending on what works best for their program. They may come on-site to a program or do a visit virtually. Offers computer classes and instruction in dance, foreign languages, gardening, arts and crafts, woodworking, upholstery and babysitting. Also offers self-directed, online classes on a variety of topics.
