It takes about 4 hours to complete and makes learning fun with lots of videos and interactive games. A score of 80% or higher on the final exam is required to receive a printable Diploma. Also provides consultation with schools, works with community day care centers and other service providers regarding young children with behavior problems and mental health concerns. Topics include, but are not limited to, arts and crafts, child care, education, exhibits, films, gardening, health, hobbies, money and travel, as well as musical performances. Offers computer classes on how to use the Internet and the library's catalog, book sales, summer reading clubs, and baby-sitting workshops for youth. Programs vary with season and location.

YWCA offers babysitting classes for grades six through eight. Classes focus on safety and life skills. Students participate in small group interactive learning, role-play and practice rescue skills with manikins. Students must attend all three classes to be a registered as a Safe Sitter. Membership NOT required.

Provides assistance to parents and families on a variety of parenting topics, including discipline, literacy and special needs. Provides childcare provider training, a lending library with books and supplies for childcare providers, fingerprinting services, and the Step Up To Quality program for type A childcare providers.

Provides professional development workshops for home and center-based childcare providers. Offers assistance to individuals and groups wanting to start childcare programs (center, home or after school programs), provides center accreditation, Child Development Associate, and Step Up to Quality support and training.

Course provides information on how to care for infants and children, how handle emergency situations, and how to handle a variety of behaviors. Classes are offered online.

Financial assistance to cover day care costs on behalf of low income families so they may participate in OWF and/or education or training to maintain employment. This department also certifies day care providers to provide services through subsidized child care program.
