This could include the following: Full size cribs, toddler beds, mattresses, strollers, convertible high-chairs, temporal thermometers, baby monitors, baby gates, childproofing home safety kits, and smoke/carbon monoxide alarms. Includes infant and child safety education on various topics, such as infant safe sleep guidelines, in-home safety recommendations and car seat best-practice training.

Offers fire protection, emergency medical services, and fire prevention education for Franklin Township. Provides and installs smoke detectors, offers CPR classes, and provides carbon monoxide testing. Speaks to local groups, businesses, and schools about fire prevention.

Provides a number of programs designed to provide safety and awareness to the community. Includes child safety seat checks.

Provides education in various programs, including healthy lifestyles, dental services, radon, car seat installation and availability, public safety campaigns and smoke-free workplace.

Provides the following non-emergency crime prevention and community services: alcohol/drug education and prevention, security evaluations, fraud prevention, neighborhood watch, safety education, (bicycle, school, traffic); also motor vehicle noise control, commercial noise control, noise abatement, noisy neighbor control, barking dog control, and vacation security checks.

Provides crime prevention services and safety education activities for the City of South Euclid. Works with neighborhood groups to alleviate risks; also provides vacation security checks and security evaluations to determine whether or not homes are secure.

The Ohio cooperative Extension Service, an educational outreach arm of the Ohio State University-OCES, conducts research-based and interests in agriculture and natural resources, community development, family strengths, nutrition, diet and health, and 4-H youth development and leadership. Service: 1. Educational information in agriculture, resource management, family life, nutrition and youth education. 2. Insect and pest identification 3. 4-H clubs and programs for youth 4. Programs and newsletters on various subject matters 5. Speakers for organizations, schools, etc. 6. Food and nutritional education program for limited income families - groups and individual teaching

Provides child car seat inspections by certified seat technicians from the health department by appointment. Can also help provide you with a no cost seat if: Your child meets weight and height requirements for available seats You attend, participate in, and complete a car seat class. Your child is WIC or Medicaid eligible.

Provides inspection of vehicles to determine compliance with state law regarding safe condition for operation upon the roadway. Upon passing inspection, vehicle owner will be provided a completed Kentucky Application for Certificate of Title/Registration Form which may be taken to the County Clerk to obtain a Kentucky license plate.

The Columbus Aquatics Center is home to six 25-yard swim lanes, an open area for casual swimming, a separate baby pool and a diving well with 1-meter and 3-meter diving boards. The center offers swimming lessons for beginners, intermediate and competition levels as well as lap swim and fitness classes.

Provides recreational boating safety tips, investigates consumer complaints about boats, issues product safety recalls, and maintains a database of boats that have been recalled. This agency regulates recreational watercraft. Boating recalls are NOT covered by the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

Offers a safety course for children. Children participating in this program will gain a better understanding of safety as well as engage in personal interaction with safety forces. The three-hour program will be offered a few times throughout the summer for two different age groups. Each child must be accompanied by an adult to this program.

Offers traffic, pedestrian, and bicycle safety for preschoolers who will be entering Kindergarten in the fall.

Provides fire protection services. Offers fire prevention education and information (including school programs), CPR training, as well as blood pressure testing and carbon monoxide testing. Provides smoke detectors (two per household) and physically replaces batteries in smoke detectors.

Provides a wide range of services for families, including referrals to child care and early education programs that meet their family needs for child care. Provides assistance to parents and families on a variety of parenting topics, including discipline, literacy and special needs. Provides childcare provider training, a lending library with books and supplies for childcare providers, fingerprinting services and the Step Up To Quality program for type A childcare.

Provides calendar of community training workshops, seminars, and programs pertaining to child care and early education. Also offers family childcare home providers support, materials, consultation, and networking opportunities. Provides training to professionals regarding children with special needs who are in their care.

Provides general crime prevention and safety education and information, including but not limited to, bunco/fraud prevention, bicycle safety, child passenger safety, telecommunications safety, identity safety, and elder abuse prevention. Provides a school resource officer as well as substance abuse prevention and gang prevention information.

Responsible for the control and extinction of fires in urban or wilderness areas; the inspection of buildings and hillside property to ensure potential fire hazards; and the maintenance of equipment and trained firefighters necessary for a quick and efficient response to fires when they occur.

Provides safety education to schools and other community groups. Topics include: safety issues, drug and substance abuse through the D.A.R.E. school program home and commercial security surveys, robbery prevention education, bunco/fraud prevention, and neighborhood watch groups. Also makes vacation security checks of citizens' homes.

Provides opportunities for people to learn the basic skills and emergency procedures that are required for the care of infants and small children.
