Offers a variety of programming and classes available to the community including but not limited to: arts and crafts instruction, computer classes, babysitting instruction, dance classes, foreign language instruction, gardening classes, musical instrument training, financial planning, small business development, cooking classes, and dog obedience.

Offers a neighborhood watch program, a bicycle safety program, gun locks, and education to parents and those under 21 years of age about the consequences of underage drinking, and programs aimed at increasing safety belt usage for Russell Township.

Regulates and disseminates workplace safety education to employers and employees.

Offers interactive, small group, evidence-based workshop that meets for eight (8) weekly sessions. Topics include managing fear of falling; physical risk factors for falls; developing habits, techniques, and strategies to prevent falls; and home safety. Participants learn to view falls and fear of falling as controllable, set realistic goals for increasing activity, and learn evidence-based exercises that improve balance, strength, and flexibility.

Boating safety education is offered.

Models and teaches skills to enhance the capacities of all caregivers working directly with young children who present significant social, emotional and/or behavioral challenges. When further services are needed, connects child care settings and families to appropriate education and community mental health services and assists with care coordination.

Provides 24/7 fire services and prevention.

Provides classes to upgrade job-related skills. Includes business, continuing education, computer classes, certification programs such as Child Care provider in-service, food safety education/certification; healthcare; automotive, construction and industrial technology programs.

Provides inspection of vehicles to determine compliance with state law regarding safe condition for operation upon the roadway. Upon passing inspection, vehicle owner will be provided a completed Kentucky Application for Certificate of Title/Registration Form which may be taken to the County Clerk to obtain a Kentucky license plate.

Operates a poison hotline. Does not provide pill identification services. Offers information and education on poison prevention and treatment. Provides literature and speakers on toxic products, poison prevention and treatment.

Tobacco cessation program to help pregnant women quit smoking and stay tobacco free after baby is born. Women who enroll in the program, quit smoking and remain tobacco free after the baby is born receive free diapers for 12 months (voucher to Walmart each month).

Offers a series of classes on bicycle safety related topics. Classes are interactive and designed to increase participants' interest in bicycling as well as learning how to cycle safely, what traffic safety laws apply, and bicycle maintenance. Refreshments and snacks may be available.

Provides information on driving, vehicle and highway safety. Collects information on laws and regulations as well as research data. Report suspected safety defects in your vehicle, vehicle equipment, child safety seats, and obtain information about air bags, highway safety, and the proper use of child safety seats.

Works to create an environment that is healthy and free from harmful substance abuse and use. The Coalition strives to motivate the community, to support healthy lifestyles, and to eliminate underage use of drugs and alcohol.

Provides Ohio Approved in-person or virtual training to help early childhood professionals advance their skills, programs and careers. Child care providers learn from highly qualified instructors while interacting with other early childhood professionals. Training may include single sessions or series that focus on important child development, early childhood education best practices and basic health and safety training.

Provides a referral service to help families find appropriate child care resources and schools such as nursery schools, pre-schools, Head Start programs, before and after school care, and in-home care. Offers families information on choosing a child care provider. Provides training for child care providers. Maintains a calendar of child care training opportunities.

Offers outdoor recreational swimming. Swimming lessons and youth swim team available.

Provides general police enforcement and protective services for Medina Township. Offers various safety classes on child car seats and bicycle safety. Offers education in local schools about child safety when requested.

Provides coaching and technical assistance supports to child care providers to enhance the quality of care for children and to help them achieve or increase a Step Up To Quality rating in the state's quality rating system. Coaching is meant to enhance existing skills while helping develop new skills for administrators, classroom teachers, or family child care providers.
