Provides many non emergency crime prevention and public safety education services including: neighborhood watch programs, security evaluations for both residential and commercial customers, D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) programs in both elementary and high schools, bicycle/pedestrian safety programs for schools, property I.D. program, and crime reporting hotline.

Provides enforcement of all laws and ordinances, preventing crimes, investigating criminal activities, apprehending, arresting, and detaining suspects, presenting evidence, regulating traffic, investigating traffic accidents, and engaging in other activities that protect life, property, and preserve peace.

Prevention program designed to reduce risk factors and enhance protective factors related to alcohol, tobacco and drugs as well as getting along peacefully with others. Five classroom lessons cover goal setting, decision making, communicating, bonding and managing emotions. Students also participate in a community service project. The program runs from September to June.

Conducts inspections which offer guidance regarding child passenger safety seats and the law, choosing a car seat that is appropriate for a particular child's height and weight, correct car seat installation and restraining a child in a car seat.

Providing Power of Parents alcohol abuse prevention education program, for youth, middles school and high school students at area schools

Responsible for the control and extinction of fires in urban or wilderness areas; the inspection of buildings and hillside property to ensure potential fire hazards; and the maintenance of equipment and trained firefighters necessary for a quick and efficient response to fires as they occur.

Provides a class, taught by a certified fire fighter, to assist in purchasing and safely installing a child's passenger seat in a car.

Responsible for boating safety, education and law enforcement. Also administers and enforces all laws regarding identification, numbering, titling, use and operation of recreational boats on Ohio’s waters.

Safety Town provides instruction to pre-school children starting kindergarten in the fall. The program includes pedestrian safety, traffic signals and signs, fire safety, good and bad touch, getting in cars with strangers, and the hazards of drugs among other things. Call for more information.

Provides an 8-hour defensive driving program, 2 point credit, suspended license, refresher course and insurance discounts.

Provides inspections of child passenger safety seats.

Provides car seats through Ohio Buckles Buckeyes program. Also provides education on car seats, with training on proper installation, use of seats, and properly securing seats.

Provides information and answers questions regarding food safety issues such as storage, handling, preparation, product dating and content, seasonal foods, preventing foodborne illness, and power outages. Publicizes warnings to the public to avoid foods that may be a health hazard such as foods that are contaminated or contain potentially hazardous ingredients. Accepts consumer complaints regarding problems with meat, poultry, or egg products only. Handles complaints on issues such as incorrect packaging or foreign objects (plastic, glass, etc.) in food items.

Provides child safety seats and booster seats to eligible low income families

Provides fire prevention and protection services as well as emergency medical services for the City of Mayfield Heights. Also provides carbon monoxide testing upon request in emergencies, and smoke detectors for eligible residents.

Offers fire protection, emergency medical services, and fire prevention education for Reynoldsburg and Truro Township. Provides and installs smoke detectors, offers CPR classes and residential inspections, and provides carbon monoxide testing. Speaks to local groups, businesses, and schools about fire prevention.

This in-person course, which takes about 6 hours, teaches the same topics as the online babysitter training class, plus it offers hands-on skills practice and additional training in first aid. You can also sign up for Babysitter’s Training with Pediatric First Aid/CPR, which takes about 9 ½ hours and also offers a 2-year certification in Pediatric First Aid/CPR. A digital certificate is available upon successful completion of this course. In class, you learn how to: - Respond to emergencies with first aid, rescue breathing and more - Make good decisions under pressure - Communicate effectively with parents - Recognize safety and hygiene issues - Manage young children - Feed, diaper and care for infants - Start your babysitting business.

Help through the complexities of finding a healthcare provider, benefits, insurance and access to coverage, prescription assistance, and employment . Resources to face financial challenges and plan for the future. Wellness strategies that can make an impact on quality of life with MS including diet, exercise, emotional well-being and connection to local wellness resources. Provides a temporary shelter for stray, unwanted and abused animals. Collaborates with city and county authorities to enforce animal laws.

Free Ohio Identification Card (ID) for Ohio residents 17 years old or older. Ohioans who are under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or a guardian. Can not already hold a valid driver license. Driver License holders can, however, choose to downgrade to a State ID. State IDs are also available for Ohioans who are 16 years and younger for a fee. Permanent and irreversibly disabled Ohioans who are 16 or younger are eligible for a no fee ID (BMV 5755 is required).

Provides a class where teens can learn skills of infant care, first aid, handling emergencies, accident prevention and other topics dealing with the care of babies and small children.

Provides crime prevention services and safety education activities for the City of South Euclid. Works with neighborhood groups to alleviate risks; also provides vacation security checks and security evaluations to determine whether or not homes are secure.

The Licking County Sheriff’s Deputies will operate a CarFit drive-through for older adult participants to ensure their vehicle is best “fit” for maximum comfort and safety. Participants are also encouraged to bring any car seats they currently have in use to ensure they are properly installed for the safety of the youngest members of the family. This free CarFit check takes approximately 20 minutes to complete. All participants can look forward to be entered into a drawing for a 1 year AAA membership, and a complimentary bagged lunch.
