Car Seat Fitting Stations are specific locations where parents and other caregivers can receive education and training from certified Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Technicians on how to properly install and use their child safety seat.

Provides firefighting and emergency medical support services.

Applicants must have passed a firearms safety course that provides a certificate of completion stating the the curse and training is in compliance with the State of Ohio House Bill #12. Applicants must apply and successfully be approved by the Sheriff's Office after a completed background check before receiving their concealed carry permit within the State of Ohio.

Provides free smoke detectors to eligible households. Also offers delivery and installation of detectors when necessary.

Safety initiative providing supplies for parents and caregivers to help them make sure children and pets are not left in vehicles. Supplies include: * Window cling thermometer - Reads temperature of vehicle. * Slap-on wristband - Parent/caregiver puts on wristband after putting child/pet in care, removing wristband once child/pet is out of car. * Smart sensor Doona - Sensor will detect if child is sitting on device, and send time-based alerts to parent/caergiver. Alerts escalate from notification to AMBER alert-style notification. If no action is taken, a phone call to parent/caregiver and up to five emergency contacts is placed, with emergency services notified after no response. * Initiative sponsored by Philips Family Foundation.

Offers fire protection, emergency medical services, and fire prevention education for Westerville. Provides and installs smoke detectors, offers CPR classes and provides carbon monoxide testing. Speaks to local groups, businesses and schools about fire prevention.

Through the Ohio Buckles Buckeyes Program, HAPCAP offers free child safety seats and booster seats to eligible families in Athens County.

Tobacco cessation program to help pregnant women quit smoking and stay tobacco free after baby is born. Women who enroll in the program, quit smoking and remain tobacco free after the baby is born receive free diapers for 12 months (voucher to Walmart each month).

Provides fire services for the Village of Philo, Harrison and Brush Creek Townships.

City of Piqua Fire Department provides fire services, consisting of preventing, investigating, controlling and extinguishing fires. Included are fire safety education, firefighting, investigating the causes of suspicious fires, and enforcing fire codes and property from fires and explosions arising from the storage, handling and use of hazardous substances, materials and devices, or from conditions hazardous to life and property in the use or occupancy of buildings or other premises.

Provides professional development workshops for home and center-based childcare providers. Offers assistance to individuals and groups wanting to start childcare programs (center, home or after school programs), provides center accreditation, Child Development Associate, and Step Up to Quality support and training.

MCHD provides child car seats/booster seats to eligible Mercer County parents and caregivers.

Provides general pet care guidelines for people who own or are thinking about having a pet. Offers information to increase public awareness of the measures people can take to ensure their own safety and that of their children when dealing with family dogs or strange dogs that are encountered outside the home environment.

Operates the following services that are countywide; dispatch, road patrol, and jail.

Offers swimming lessons for all levels, group water fitness including specialized health-related programs, competitive swimming opportunities and lifeguard education courses.

Provides a pool facility for recreational swim. Also provides aquatic programs such as swim lessons, water fitness, and swim teams.

Dispatches officers to the scene of a crime in progress or a police emergency incident (call 911).

Offers free smoke detectors and smoke detector batteries when available.
