Includes: - Standard Loan of up to $10,000 for people who cannot access traditional financing. - Education Loan of up to $5,000 for: - Traditional 2 and 4 year degrees - Educational Loan of up to $10,000 for: - Graduate and post-graduate studies. - Certification programs. - Trade schools. - Coding boot camps and other accredited “short term” programs. - Study abroad programs. Business Loan of up to $20,000. Requires more documentation than other loans. There are agencies that can assist in process. Agency has a Uniform Commercial Code lien against business assets for the duration of the loan.

COTC guarantees to fund the gap between tuition (instructional and general fees) and remaining student need after all other private scholarships, institutional, federal and state aid are exhausted. The Knox Promise will be available to eligible students starting in COTC’s upcoming autumn semester, which begins on Aug. 24. - Knox County residents who apply to COTC, are admitted and complete the FAFSA annually are automatically considered for the Knox Promise. There is no separate application. - Enroll in as little as one credit hour each semester to be eligible. - There is no lifetime dollar limit to Promise awards. - Other requirements for maintaining satisfactory academic progress, such as maintaining a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA, and other federal eligibility requirements each semester, will apply.

Provides answers to student aid questions and provides free guidance including: information about federal student aid programs; help completing the FAFSA; help in making corrections to a Student Aid Report (SAR); information about the process of determining financial need and awarding aid; and information about federal student loans.
