Provide incentives to those obtaining adult vocational certificates or for those with new employment.
The adult vocational certificate incentive will offer a one-time payment of $300 for successfully completing a full-time adult education course or $100 for successfully completing a part-time adult education course. The application for these funds must be completed within 90 days of completion of the course and the certificate must be provided.
The employment incentive program will offer an individual obtaining employment up to $2,000 over the course of 12 months for obtaining and maintaining employment that is at least 20 hours per week. Adults will be provided $500 after the first 30 days of employment and then $500 at the fourth, eighth and 12th month of continuous employment. The application for this program must be received within the first 90 days of employment, and it is limited to one offer per participant. The participant is required to meet for an assessment every quarter before obtaining the next payment.
