Provides payment assistance for expenses related to maintaining or obtaining employment as well as for job training and education expenses. - Transportation Assistance: Provides three (3) months worth of bus passes or a maximum of $200 per month in gas cards with a three (3) month limit. - Employment Assistance: Provides a maximum of $500 for job related tools/equipment or supplies, professional licensing, and up to five (5) uniforms (if required for employment). - Adult Education: Provides a maximum of $1,000 to pay for Adult Basic Education, GED Preparation, Occupational Training and/or Short-Term Education Programs.

The State of Ohio offers an $80 voucher to assist with the cost of the GED exam, valid for 120 days from the date it is issued to the student.
Provides aid to families in the form of a voucher to buy items or pay for services that are emergencies and non-recurring (a situation not extending beyond 4 months) and which cannot be addressed using existing community resources. Assistance is provided only for items that are essential for the applicant's employment, job training, or education such as: car repairs (does not cover normal "wear and tear" items such as oil change, tires, brake pads); work clothing and uniforms, washer or dryer (only if needed for work purposes), and education related equipment (such as tools). Maximum assistance limits (once per calendar year): $500 for education-related equipment, $225 for work or education uniforms, $750 for car repairs (additional restrictions also apply). In addition to these specific limits, applicant cannot exceed yearly limit of $1,500 in aid from the overall PRC program ($750 if non-custodial guardian). Does not help with short term transportation needs such as gas cards or bus fare. Does not help with GED testing fees.

The PRC Program is designed to provide benefits and services to needy families and low income employed families to help move out of poverty and become self-sufficient. PRC support is short term and is not intended to meet ongoing needs. If eligible for PRC benefits, a voucher is issued for the service and paid to then vendor providing the service. Voucher services available for car repairs, employment materials (tools/equipment, uniforms/footwear, professional licensure/testing fees), GED fee payment assistance, rent or mortgage payment assistance, and utility assistance (primary heat source, electric, water).

Provide incentives to those obtaining adult vocational certificates or for those with new employment. The adult vocational certificate incentive will offer a one-time payment of $300 for successfully completing a full-time adult education course or $100 for successfully completing a part-time adult education course. The application for these funds must be completed within 90 days of completion of the course and the certificate must be provided. The employment incentive program will offer an individual obtaining employment up to $2,000 over the course of 12 months for obtaining and maintaining employment that is at least 20 hours per week. Adults will be provided $500 after the first 30 days of employment and then, $500 at the fourth, eighth and 12th month of continuous employment. The application for this program must be received within the first 90 days of employment, and it is limited to one offer per participant. The participant is required to meet for an assessment every quarter before obtaining the next payment.

Purchase of special tools and equipment needed for employment (such as wrenches for a car mechanic, work boots, tool belts, safety equipment, back supports and so forth.). Higher Education Assistance: Provides assistance with expenses related to higher education and/or training such as testing for State licenses, board certification, commercial driver’s license, costs of books, lab fees and registration fees. Relocation Assistance: Will assist with relocation expenses if the client must move for employment purposes. Relocation expenses for employment out of county or out of state only.
