The CSEA provides payment options and enforcement services to parents so they can make/receive support payments with the regularity as specified in their orders. For those in default on their child support payments, actions taken may include credit bureau reporting, occupational and professional license revocation, Ohio driver's license revocation, garnishment state and federal tax refunds or bonuses, and the freezing and seizing of an obligor's assets held by a financial institution. The CSEA initiates prosecutions for nonpayment of support, both civil and criminal, in Franklin County and in other jurisdictions.
