Provides emergency short-term shelter and aid for women and their children fleeing domestic violence and sexual assault. Offers a wide variety of programming to help women and children improve personal safety, encourage self-sufficiency and enable women to survive, cope and re-enter the community safely. Services include: 24/7 crisis hotline, emergency shelter, crisis intervention, safety planning, intense case management, legal advocacy and support to file charges and obtain legal protections, outreach, support and educational groups, goal planning, individual advocacy, food, clothing and personal care items, transportation support and follow-up case management and referrals.

Offers support and resources for victims of domestic violence including: Temporary Emergency Shelter, 24-Hour Crisis Hotline, Domestic Violence Counseling, Legal Advocates, Peer Support Groups, and Community Awareness Building.

Provides legal assistance for the state of Ohio and its departments in legal matters, responsible for collecting debts owed to the state. The AG works to protect Ohio citizens through various programs and services

Houses several Mahoning county offices including court of common pleas, domestic relations court, probate court, clerk of courts, county recorder and county treasures offices.

Evaluates cases for possible assistance with civil protection order and where one of the following is true: - The applicant or minor child has experienced an incident of abuse within the last 60 days; - The abuser has threatened to kill or physically harm applicant or commit suicide within the last 60 days coupled with severe physical violence in the past year; - The abuser is subject to charges or protection order for offense of violence within the past 60 days or a CPO has been issued against abuser; - The abuser is incarcerated for offense of violence and has made new threats of abuse to applicant and incarceration will end in less than 12 months; - Juvenile court custody matter where unmarried biological mother is seeking custody or incident of abuse towards minor child was alleged but not substantiated, or applicant is concerned about complying with court-ordered custody or visitation due to COVID-19.

Assists survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, and stalking. Services include the following: * Protection orders for sexual assault, stalking, and domestic violence * Custoday and visitation rights * Divorce * Issues concerning physical, mental, and financial abuse * Legal issues that hinder survivors independence from abuser Partners with community organizations to provide wraparound services.

Provides culturally specific and trauma-informed services to individuals experiencing domestic violence, sexual assault, and/or human trafficking, with a focus on the immigrant and refugee communities. Both advocacy and legal services are available. The advocate may be able to help with crisis and long-term safety planning, counseling referrals, financial planning, support and referrals to shelter, case management, filing for a Civil Protection Order (CPO), and other services. Attorneys are available when applicable to meet with clients to discuss any legal concerns. If qualified, attorneys can help with a divorce, CPO representation, Marsy's Law, immigration, custody, and so forth. Provides a holistic approach model of assigning one advocate and one attorney to help the client through all their needs, which is beneficial for all survivors, preventing the survivor from having to relive their trauma over and over again by telling multiple people the same story. Offers support groups for different ethnic communities and education/outreach to community members, service providers, and others specializing in cultural humility education. Trained advocates provide emotional support, information, and offer accompaniment in the following areas for all survivors of sexual violence, domestic violence and stalking. *Law Enforcement Accompaniment: may include information on victim rights, developing a safety plan, or accompaniment during police reports *Legal Accompaniment: may include information, support, and accompaniment for civil or legal actions such as divorce, protection orders, applying for legal fee assistance, and emergency custody *Medical Accompaniment: offers accompaniment to hospital examinations and follow-up appointments for individuals that wish to seek or require medical attention *Title IX Accompaniment: may include assistance and accompaniment for students wishing to file Title IX complaints or seeking educational accommodations *Workplace Accompaniment: may include assistance and accompaniment for individuals wishing to file workplace related complaints or protection orders
