Provides assistance to those without legal complications who are seeking a divorce. Includes form preparation and detailed instruction to complete the filing on their own.
Provides a central location where the public and attorneys can obtain forms and basic information necessary to pursue their domestic relations cases (including divorce). Individuals unfamiliar with the Court’s procedures may pick up packages of the documents needed for certain types of cases (including forms for those who need to modify their custody agreement). Computers are also available for completing some forms and calculating child support guideline worksheets. Does not provide legal advice. Cannot help individuals prepare paperwork, but can let people know in advance of their court appearance what is needed and what to expect when they come to court.

Evaluates cases, whether filing or having been served with divorce papers if hearing date is more than 10 days away in cases where one of the following is true: an incident of abuse toward applicant or minor child occurred within the last 30 days, or abuser has threatened to kill or physically harm applicant or commit suicide within the last 60 days coupled with physical violence in the past year; abuser subject to charges or protection order for offense of violence within the past 60 days or a Civil Protection Order (CPO) has been issued against abuser; abuser incarcerated for offense of violence and has made new threats of abuse to applicant and incarceration will end in less than 12 months; cases where relationship does not involve abuse, the parties do not have minor children, there are no joint assets or debts and the parties have been living separate and apart for at least one year.
