Provides one-on-one financial and legal planning for individuals diagnosed with cancer or after the loss of a loved one. Most sessions are 45-60 minutes. - Bankruptcy Consultations: Navigate the filing process and learn about financial options from a professional bankruptcy consultant. - Debt Management Consultations: Obtain information on debt resolution strategies during a comprehensive family budget review. - Financial Planning Consultations: Manage 401K options, insurance, retirement goals, and investments. - Insurance Consultations: Answer questions related to health insurance, long term care insurance, and life insurance. - Social Security & Disability Consultations: Learn about social security and disability benefits. - Wills, Trusts, and Estate Planning Consultation: Receive assistance with estate planning, living wills, wills, medical power of attorney, and trusts.

Provides guardianship and other decision-making supports for adults with developmental disabilities who are unable to provide informed consent, represent themselves, or manage their own affairs. Guardianships are for persons declared incompetent by the court and unable to manage their affairs. Will help investigate the need for services for those who feel they may be eligible. Maintains an on-call system for timely responses to emergency medical situations by providing informed consent.

Assists in completing and / or submitting a wide variety of forms for programs offered to qualifying seniors including HEAP, Homestead Exemption, Golden Buckeye Card, Jobs and Family Services, Metropolitan Housing Authority, and Living Will/Durable Power of Attorney forms.

Assists parents with development, implementation, and monitoring of a formal Individual Education Plan (IEP) for their child(ren) and assists adults with the development, monitoring, and implementation of a formal Individual Service Plan (ISP). Ordinarily, the average estate should be finalized within six months of the date of appointment of the fiduciary. However, where litigation, federal or state tax returns, or creditor disputes exist, the estate may require a longer administration.

Provides a variety of services that enable individuals to remain independent and cared for at home. Included are planning for families with a member who requires an increased/increasing level of care; recommendations and referrals to address problem areas; counseling to deal with life change, loss, anxiety and depression; physical, occupational, or speech therapy; skilled home nursing; personal emergency response systems that alert a remote agency when someone has fallen and requires assistance. Service includes caregiver training.

Processes applications regarding estates and trusts. The purpose of a probate estate is to protect and conserve assets, provide for the payment of outstanding debts and taxes, and distribution of assets to persons entitled to them by will or law. Estates with and without wills are probated. In some circumstances, probate is not needed, such as with survivorship tenancy and joint and survivorship property. Administers trusts in wills only, not living trusts.

Provides advance directives that can be picked up at the hospital or print them from home. Assistance is also available to individuals that need help to fill the form out. Public Notary is available by appointment for advance directives form to be completed.

Provides information about Do Not Resuscitate (DNR) orders, which relate a person's wishes not to be revived in the case of a catastrophic medical situation. A person may create a DNR order in consultation with a physician, certified nurse practitioner, clinical nurse specialist, or physician assistant. The Ohio Department of Health only provides information about the procedure's protocol. Medical questions should be discussed with a physician. Legal questions should be addressed with an attorney.

Provides limited, low cost legal assistance. Can provide defense in limited criminal matters including vacating pending traffic violations, managing misdemeanors, or dealing with probation or low-level felony warrants. Provides help with sealing of criminal records/expungement (and in some cases may be able to lessen or remove some penalties). Provides help with lawsuits arising from credit disputes, civil actions, and home foreclosures. Assists with the preparation of simple wills and assistance with some probate matters. Does not assist in criminal cases where a public defender or private lawyer will handle the case (most cases in common pleas court or municipal courts), unless its related to a Motion to seal or "expunge" or a motion to vacate capias (vacate an outstanding arrest warrant). Does not represent individuals in the following types of cases: civil litigation, workers comp, bankruptcy, eviction, divorce/dissolution/child support, and/or administrative appeals.
