Does not assist in criminal cases where a public defender or private lawyer will handle the case (most cases in common pleas court or municipal courts), unless its related to a Motion to seal or "expunge" or a motion to vacate capias (vacate an outstanding arrest warrant). Does not represent individuals in the following types of cases: civil litigation, workers comp, bankruptcy, eviction, divorce/dissolution/child support, and/or administrative appeals.

Provides a professional, long-term care assessment consultant (a nurse or social worker) who will meet with families to evaluate the current situation and future options. Service includes explaining what is available, discussing eligibility requirements, and financial resources required, and determining needs and wishes of clients. Family and consumer are given a community care plan for their use.
