Provides the following legal services for low-income clients with housing issues: Eviction defense and enforcement of tenants' rights; Protection of public housing subsidies; Home ownership, foreclosure, and access to housing; and other issues related to housing rights, including utility shut-offs, predatory lending, and the rights of tenants with disabilities.

Investigates housing discrimination complaints in Greene County. Provides advocacy services for persons who believe they have been discriminated against in housing (in the public or private sector whether rental units or purchased housing). Also assist with Landlord/Tenant issues as well as incidents of predatory lending.

Provides assistance with housing issues, landlord/tenant concerns, and fair housing discrimination complaints. Offers presentations to social, civic and community organizations, realtors, lenders, public officials, and neighborhood residents to promote safe, affordable housing for all Lorain County residents.

Advocates compliance to the Fair Housing Act's requirement to "affirmatively further fair housing" by: - Identifying and eliminating housing discrimination with the community. - Promote fair housing choice for all persons. - Promoting opportunities for inclusive patterns of housing occupancy regardless of race, color, religion, sex, familial status, disability and national origin. - Promoting housing that is structurally accessible to, and usable by all persons, particularly people with disabilities. - Foster compliance with the nondiscrimination provisions of the Fair Housing Act.

Enforces the non-discrimination requirements of the Fair Housing Act; Takes proactive steps to assure that HUD programs are delivered in a nondiscriminatory manner; furthers fair housing in HUD programs and provides leadership for affirmative programs.

LASCO provides advice and representation for tenants who live in private or subsidized housing. Our goal is to preserve and improve the quality of the tenant’s home. Legal services are provided in the following areas: - Evictions - Fair housing - Security deposits - Issues with the condition of rental properties - Section 8 Voucher terminations - Mortgage foreclosures - Tax foreclosures.

Provides assistance for people who believe that they have been denied an opportunity to purchase, lease or rent the home or apartment of their choice due to their age, gender, family composition (including families with children under the age of 18 and pregnant women), race or color, nationality, religion, disability, sexual orientation or marital status.

Provides information about landlord, tenant, and fair housing issues occurring in the City of Parma. Answers questions dealing with landlord/tenant law and offers information regarding the rights and obligations of landlords and tenants. Does not give legal advice. Handles reports of possible violations of fair housing laws such as housing discrimination.

Counsels, mediates, and advocates on behalf of Muslims and other Arabs who have experienced discrimination, defamation, or hate crimes. Works to protect and defend the constitutional rights of Muslims in America.

Provides legal assistance in the following housing areas: wrongful evictions and landlord/tenant disputes, foreclosures, public housing and Section 8 disputes, housing discrimination, utility shut-offs, and other housing-related issues.

A housing counselor will work with clients to identify rental resources that meet individual needs. Will review credit reports (or FABCO rental report), review income and household budget, create an action plan, and assist with an online search for current, available properties for rent. Can also review current leases, document any issues with landlords, and discuss options for landlord/tenant disputes. Will also help you file a fair housing compliant if necessary.
