Legal Line provides advice in civil matters, consumer fraud and home repair scams; domestic violence, divorce, and child support; eviction, foreclosure, and other housing problems; health care access; predatory lending; Social Security/SSI; unemployment benefits; and welfare, Medicaid, and food stamps.

Provides legal support to victims in preparing domestic violence petitions and referrals to legal representation as available in civil domestic violence cases.

Provides clients with advice about legal issues, such as mortgages, guardianships, immigration, etc.

Provides free legal assistance via phone regarding problems that affect older adults. Subject areas include consumer problems, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, subsidized housing, wills and estates and protective services.

Provides attorneys to assist the public with areas of the juvenile justice process. Offers assistance completing forms such as grandparent affidavits, petitions for change of legal custody, and preparation of subpoenas.

Provides the Kinship Navigator Program to assist kinship caregivers in locating programs and services in Ottawa County and surrounding counties that help to support caregivers and the children they are caring for; eligibility is based on meeting financial guidelines.
